Episode #22 (Season 2-15)
Originally aired: June 12, 1993 on ABC
Landing in Ireland right before the Easter Rebellion, Indy mixes romance and revolutionary politics when he falls for a beautiful young Colleen whose brother is mixed up in the Irish resistance movement.

He meets Sean O'Casey, an Irish playwright famous for realistic dramas of the Dublin slums in war and revolution, in which tragedy and comedy are mixed in a way new to the theatre of his time, and Sean F. Lemass, Irish patriot, politician, and prime minister (1959-66). At the age of 16, Lemass became a freedom fighter in the streets of Dublin, engaging in the Easter Rising (April 1916) and other hostilities.

My own grandfather was part of an arms raid of the Royal Air Force Base at Collinstown Aerodrome, documented by An Phoblacht.

He was also imprisoned six months by the English on or after April 24th 1935 for "sedition, membership in an unlawful association and refusing to give an account of his movements..." documented in Tim Coogan's The IRA A History.

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Will be sharing this with a few people today...the episode of Young Indiana Jones that is.

*cough*

[Choking on a cup of Earl Grey]

I say, that was rather naughty of him. What ho?

[Looks from side to side furtively]

Keep it under your hat, old chap, but I have a stake on both sides that disagreement.

Chin, chin!
