List of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Locations
I decided to make a list of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull locations.I used the movie only.I would like to use the movie and the novel,but I don't have the novel yet.I hope there aren't any places mentioned in the novel that isn't mentioned or shown in the movie.So here it is.

I typed "12.Somewhere in the Amazon" and "13.Somewhere in the Amazon that has a water fall".I wanted to do figure out which waterfall they were supposed to be at in South America even if the movie doesn't say exactly where.I wanted to give my best guess as to where they were supposed to be.The places they would have been closest to would be Brazil,Colombia,and Peru.
Brazil Cachoeira da Fumaça(Chapada Diamantina,Bahia)340 m - This waterfall can't be it because it it too thin and too far to the east. Guaira Falls (or Sete Quedas) - on the Brazil-Paraguay border - This looks like it could be it,but it it too far to the southeast. Iguazu Falls - This looks like it could be it,but it's part of Argentina and Brazil and therefore too far south. Cascata de Sete Lagoas(or Parque da Cascata)(Sete Lagoas,Minas Gerais) - This can't be it because it is too far to the east and it's too rocky of a waterfall. Tabuleiro Falls - This can't be it because it is too far to the east. Cachoeira do El Dorado - The highest waterfall in Brazil at a height of 353 m - This can't be it because it is too thin,but I do like the name .
Peru Gocta - This can't be it because it's too thin. Las Tres Hermanas - This can't be it because it's too thin. Yumbilla Falls(Picture) - This can't be it because it's too thin.
I always thought that Lake Guatavita seen here
looked a lot like the place that the flying saucer made a sinkhole out of seen here.
According to Wikipedia,Lake Guatavita is in Sesquilé and according to Sesquilé Wikipedia,Lake Guatavita is "one of the many suspected sites of the El Dorado legend".

The Mexican dig can be narrowed down a little, to the Yucatán Peninsula (south-eastern Mexico), which was the main home of the Mayan civilization. The northern part of the peninsula is covered with sinkholes, locally called cenotes, some of which were used by the Maya.
At the beginning of KOTCS (in the novel) Indy is excavating a Mayan site on the Mexican coast when he's visited by Mac. Indy finds a Mayan calendar stone and falls into an underground river. Unmarked Soviet troops, led by Colonel Dovchenko capture Mac, kill Indy's indigenous workers, and then capture and drug Indy when he returns to camp after riding the underground river out of a coastal cliff.

That would make a lot of sense for the location of Akator in the movie.Lake Guatavita is in Sesquilé and Sesquilé is in the Cundinamarca Department of Colombia.Colombia is one of the places I mentioned they might have been closest to in the movie.
Lake Guatavita Wikipedia says "It is a circular lake in the mountains in what appears to be a meteor crater. However, the origins of the crater are unclear."

A few artifacts of gold and silver found at bottom hold proof to this claim; however, to date, the trips to the bottom of the lake have yielded no more than these."
This waterfall belongs to the Iguazu-falls. Boca del diablo is on the Argentinean side. Therefore I think it's an imaginary yet undiscovered fall somewhere in unexplored Amazon territory.
Always found it strange how he travels from Cusco to Nazca and back, would have been better going to Lima in the first place wouldn't it?

Well,here's my problem.4 and 8 have conflicting information.In the scene when he was at his house talking to Mutt,I thought he was in his house in New York.Here is why I thought that.First,on the map in KOTCS it shows he left for South America from New York.The other reason I thought that,was the exterior of the house in ROTLA is different than the exterior of the house in KOTCS,which made me think they were two different houses.But I remembered that you posted the novelization on the What Does That Sign in the Graveyard Really Say thread and on page 78 and of that novelization,it mentions his hat being in the closet when he was talking to Stanforth and again on page 102 when he was talking to Mutt.I also remembered the link of the script to the film you posted on this thread and it also mentioned the hat,on page 43B,when he was talking to Mutt,which makes it sound like the same house.Anyway,for now I'm going to consider them the same house and make them both(4 and 8,which are now 6 and 10)in Bedford,Connecticut,USA.

It is the same house in 4 and 8. It is not the same house in Raiders and in Crystal Skull. There are some similarities (which makes sense, in terms of taste being consistent over a lifetime), but the size and structure appear quite different.
The map showing him leaving from New York simply means that they are omitting the (short) train ride from Connecticut to New York City, where his plane would embark from. It wouldn't be that he had two houses.

The Amazon water fall was filmed in the Iguaçu Falls between August 6 and 10 in 2007 by a producer from Rio de Janeiro named Tambellini Filmes. For the recordings were mobilized 25 people and seven vehicles. The shots were made in tracks and in the top of the Iguaçu National Park. A camera was placed under a helicopter for the aerial shots.
The brazilian director Flávio R. Tambellini worked with the second unit in Iguaçu Falls. According to him, the movie was called “GENRE PROJECT” and he only discovered wich movie was when he saw a character with a hat in the storyboards.
It's important to say that the Iguaçu Falls are located in the south of Brazil, far away from Amazon.

Does anyone know exactly where the Sanatorium is?Different sources say different things and it's a little confusing in the movie as to where it is.I'm not sure if it's in Cusco or Nazca.I always thought it was in Cusco,because the map showed it and then they were there right after landing.But everywhere else says Nazca.
