Paul

It's an E.T. parody written by Nick Frost & Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz). A road trip from New Mexico to Wyoming, it draws from other Spielberg alien movies. Since they're in Tintin, Spielberg returns the favor: a cameo with the alien Paul (voice by Seth Rogen).

The cast alone is enough to get me excited.

Wait, are you talking about a Spielberg cameo in the film ala Austin Powers in Goldmember? Is this official?

I saw the title of this thread and thought they were making a movie about Paul the Octopus and the 2010 World Cup.

Sorry, but from the trailer it looks pretty pedestrian.

I sure hope that made it in the final version.

Yep, with a great shot of Hangar 51.
Spielberg gives Paul the "trust me" line in return!

Just watched this lame movie the other night. While I didn't care for it as a whole, the warehouse shot was cool and a nice tip o' the hat to "Raiders" & "Skull" (especially with Spielberg on the phone)!

Funniest line in the film: "I've been wanting to meet you (the alien) since I first saw Mac and Me". Of course, "Mac and Me" was the awful rip-off of "E.T." which was co-produced by both McDonald's and Coca-Cola.
