I saw it all too clearly. I don't like the character. But this is a choice between two unlikables. Shorty is a proven survivor. Mutt is only faking it.

Faking it, or first steps of a journey...?

I appreciate that more than a creepy cartoon child.

It's going to be a long journey. He's going to have to catch up super fast to be in a position worthy of taking the fedora. Indy was travelling and learning from a young age. Mutt's going to be just a brawler for a long time.

Sounds like something you would enjoy watching...Mutt learning the hard way.

No sexual connotations impied!

As "Yakety Sax" plays.

Though by the time Mutt's caught up and become an adventuring archaeologist of repute, Lucas will have retired.

Even then, Mutt's not going to be a rogue like his father, but a Dudley Do-Right.

Thank the Lord he's finger is far from the contemporary pulse...and up Jar Jar's nose.

Would you have (correctly) predicted Indy's end of days as they are?

Hindsight is 50/50

Never saw Indy married with children after riding off in 1938.

It wouldn't be long before he felt like this:

How can people say Shorty is unlikable? He's a badass little kid. He's more the son of Indy in terms of personality than Mutt LeBoof could ever hope to be.

But I would like to add that Quan was a better actor than Shia.

Mutt would definitely lose to Shorty's kungfu moves!

Also, Shorty has a lot of gadgets hidden on him; oil slick shoes, grappling teeth, and a punching glove!

...oh, wait... Wrong movie!
