So Morrissey is pretty much one of the greatest artists ever to grace the face of the earth and should probally have his own thread.

Which Morrissey or Smiths song is your favorite?

Morrissey on his own I would say

and with the Smiths

I'll play. Even though this is tantamount to saying you prefer Raging Bull over Taxi Driver.

Neither of these are my "favourite", but they're in the proverbial Top 10.

For The Smiths it was a toss up between Cemetry Gates, Panic, There is a Light That Never Goes Out, Girlfriend in a Coma and this one...

And just because...

To quote my favourite band:

"All this 80's indie, sounds like sh*t to me, cause I don't like joy division and I don't like morrissey."

Pollstar is advertising Moz's return to Oakland in... 2013?! Who advertising a re-booked show nearly two years out, let alone schedules one?

And just because...

Latter day Morrissey.

Vintage Morrissey. (And because I haven't heard it in a while.)

The Most Important Artist of All Time announced his most recent tour of the New World back in June. Beginning in Boston on the 5th of October, it wends its way across the States before finishing up back in New Jersey @ the House of Blues.

The Los Angeles date stands out because Morrissey welcomes Iggy & the Stooges to the Staples Center. One night only. Be there or be square, kids.

Check the full tour listing here. Then keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't cancel it in a fit of pique.

As a songwriter and singer, I think he's brilliant.

If I met him in a pub though, I don't think any conversation would last long. Some of his 'opinions' are just resentful nonsense that a man of his age should have grown out of 30 years ago.

I was there the first time around and the sun certainly shone out of his behind however like most real heroes they have a tendency to be all too human.

Even Harrison Ford who once voted republician but I forgave him.

My Smiths attitude has shifted over to focusing on Johnny Marr's guitar playing
