The videos were removed from youtube, and I think the studios or youtube itself have search tools that seek out their content, so they can remove it.

As for why the game was canceled, that was largely due to LucasArt's financial problems than anything else. Something tells me someone who worked on the games leaked these purposely to either get back at LucasArts or spur them on.

If anyone watched these all on their PC, they may still be able to salvage them from their temporary internet files. Shouldn't be hard to find unless you watched a lot of other YouTube videos too.

PM me if you want help finding them or would like to watch the ones I was able to save. Unfortunately I only watched two of them on my PC and the rest on my phone. I was able to convert the two I watched on my computer to mp4 files, though. For some reason it lost the sound when I converted the one where Indy and Maggie are talking, but the voices weren't that great anyways.

I think the YouTube username was Breac, but it says the account is suspended now.

Son of a B. Why are they suppressing this stuff? They're never putting the damn game out anyway, and they don't care about fan outcry. I really hate George Lucas and his company sometimes.

OK, was this one of the videos? I'm having trouble digging it out with Live HTTP Header. Now I can find the link, but I can't seem to make it work in the address bar. The link I'm getting is "GET /gt_usermovies/um_117/um_1151650-589706-final-1249494809.flv." I've tried manipulating that several ways, and I just get a 404.

Nice find! Unfortunately, there is one video missing, the one where Indy and Maggie are talking.

Oh, so that video was all of the videos except for the Indy/Maggie one? Cool. I figured it was just one.

Someone should get that thing downloaded. I can't get the thing to download to the hard drive.

To be honest with all of you, as good as the animation is in these videos there's not much of a game here. It was looking like a better animated version of the Wii edition. If this was as far as they'd got they still had a long way to go.

Actually, trying to view Unseen64's videos from their site seems to bring up a message, I think in German, stating that the videos have been removed (according to the version I tried to watch on Joystiq, anyway). Nazis trying to thwart Indy sounds pretty typical, when you think about it.

I love that explanation though!

Here you can see the two videos I was able to download and convert, which include the one of Indy and Maggie talking (although the sound was lost in conversion).

There's a idea bouncing around the last Indy Cast, that there is indeed an XBox 360 and PS3 Indy game in development (not Lego II). I don't recall the pictures in the Lucasarts book in any part of The Staff of Kings, although the removed videos were.

I don't see why not, but you have to remember they've only got a small development team now. If there's going to be another Indy game, I'm sure it'll be done by someone else.

Thanks for the files Rob. I agree on a future game. Indiana Jones is not really unique in the sense of a game. They could easily use a pre-existing engine, and change the models/skins and scenery. I think the big mistake with this game was that they were building it from scratch.

Not really. Indy was being dragged by a ****** truck!!! Just like in Raiders!

Those test shots were better than anything in Staff of Kings

God-****ing-dammit. I literally came close to tears when I saw that first gameplay video. The combat was amazing! So fluid! **** you, Lucasarts. **** you forever.

Obviously there was a reason it got canned. If the game was any good, they'd have released it. The fact that they canceled it on the current generation systems so far into development is a pretty drastic move, the game must have been truly dire.

The final level of Staff of Kings (in the ocean) had some pretty amazing graphic effects going on for the PS2. I can only imagine how this would have looked on the PS3.

Doesn't it seem that everyone who gets the Indy license somehow drops the ball pretty badly at one point or another?
