Eric Tan Poster Art

The superb artist Eric Tan has just released via his blog (http://erictanart.blogspot.com/) the artwork for his 'Temple Of Doom' retro-style poster. You may already be aware that he has done a similar poster for Raiders that is available in the official Indiana Jones shop. He states that this new 'Temple Of Doom' print should be available via Acme Archives (http://acmearchivesdirect.com/) shortly ...

Wow, that looks terrifc. I bought the RAIDERS one. At $150 a pop it's gonna be highly expensive to acquire a full set but I'm gonna go for it.

Reading the comments on his blog he confirms that he's already started work on his Last Crusade print

Love it

Bought the Raiders one not even thinking they would make more of them - can't wait to see Crusade and possibly Skull.

Those are amazing!

I love how Indy's incorporated in the background (Tanis?) in the Raiders' one.

A+

Last Crusade

Eric Tan posted on his blog about the finishing up the trilogy with the Last Crusade. You can find it at the end of his Feb. 14th post. I hope he does a Crystal Skull one with a 50's B-Movie style.

I really love these. If I had the expendable income and the place to hang one, I'd totally get one (or more) of these.

I love these. I hope he does a KOTCS one. And I hope one day I could find them at a price that doesn't cost me a torso.

I love the Temple of Doom and Raiders posters, but I'm not so crazy about the Last Crusade one. It's just a bit odd. Why have Henry Sr. be the large image of the poster? He's not imposing or threatening like the villain in Temple of Doom, nor is he the hero. I understand not wanting to do Indy again, but making it Henry Sr. just seems so strange. Eh, I guess it doesn't really matter, since I won't buy these anyway (although I love them).

I see it as Henry Sr. is always looking over Indy. Judging him as a father does. Not to mention Connery was as big of a character as Ford in LC.

When you look at all three next to each other, it makes a pretty cool set. I really hope he does a KOTCS one.

While I love all three of these posters, I prefer "Doom" and "Crusade."

It's also lame that they took the "Doom" tagline and used it for "Raiders" and slapped the "Doom" poster with the lame-ass "The Adventure Continues...".

For "Raiders", they should have used "The Return of the Great Adventure", which was used on re-release posters, to keep it consistent.
