Steven Spielberg's next film project is "The Kidnapping Of Edgardo Mortara" which based on a
true and very strange story from 19th century Italy.

In 1858 Bologna Italy police kidnapped a six year old Jewish boy from his parents and handed
him over to Pope Pius IX to keep at his house. The boy later became a Catholic priest.

This was a big news story at the time and the case became involved in Italian politics.

According to news reports, Tony Kushner is writing the script, Mark Rylance will star as the pope,
and Spielberg plans to shoot in early 2017 and have the film ready by the end of the year.

Now we know what is holding up Indiana Jones V.

A naughty pope.

Since I am a coin collector I just have to add this:

Why doesn't Spielberg get Started on Indy 5 right away and do this Pope movie after? What If Harrison doesn't make it to Indy 5 he is in his 70's by the Time he films Indy 5 he will easily be in his mid to late 70's plus he lives a wild life style with the Flying...:whip:

I'm guessing as we speak Koep is working on the Script so at least that Is something!
