Casino Royale? They might have to choose a differant name for the story (Even if that's what Fleming's book was called) becouse of that lousy rip off they made in the 60's.

From another place in time:

Some of my more creative plagerism.

Bond conversations to follow....

Sallah: You want the Ark?
Jones: No man. I don't need absolution.
Sallah: What's the matter, you Jewish?
Jones: No, I just don't dig on sacrifice. That's all.
Sallah: Why not.
Jones: The Ark is a sarificial ornament. I don't keep sacrificial ornaments.
Sallah: Yeah man, but it looks good.
Jones: Hey, the Taj MaHal may look like Marilynn Monroe, but I'd never know, I wouldn't look at the filthy street walker. The Ark is covered in blood, that's a sacrifical ornament.
Sallah: How about the Grail? The Grail was covered in blood.
Jones: I don't want the Grail either.
Sallah: Yeah, but do you figure the Grail to be a sacrificial ornament.
Jones: I wouldn't go so far as to say the Grail is sacrificial, but it's definitaly consecrated. The Grail has character. Character goes a long way.
Sallah: Ah! So by that rational, if the Ark had character, it would cease to be a sacrificial ornament. Is that true?
Jones: Well we'd have to be talking about one stylish, M-fn Ark. I mean it'd have to be ten times as noble as that Noah thing, know what I am saying?

What I've heard of Tarantino, despite the kind of movies the man makes, he's really got a taste. So if he was to choose Bond, somehow I think it wouldn't exactly one in one with the genre of his earlier works... Of course, there would be tidbits and trademarks here and there, but still.

Perhaps Tarantino could in fact be the thing the Bond franchise requires to freshen up a bit. Of course, Die Another Day displayed already some crucial changes to the drill (Bond not always coming out as a winner), but Tarantino could bring even more attention... and that's at least a sure bet.

Heh, Horsie... maybe I wouldn't like to see Quentin directing and Indy flick though...

nah Quentin would try to make it too artistic

what i DO want to see in new james bond movies is classic stuff. Not as much action but more talk. The real cool bond moments. You know what I mean.

He could actually make it more interesting. Bond is Bond and he's damn cool, but with all the movies I think they could push it all a step further. In other words get a differant sort of story that is a bit differant from what we have already seen without looseing the main elements. They have made 20 films. I think they can afford to take risks.

20 films made after nearly the very same formula... perhaps it could be time to see some real facelifting. Though of course, why to change something that still brings money into pockets?

Anyway, I've noticed that there have been slightly different elements in the latest two Bond flicks we've never seen before. In World is Not Enough, we had M in a fairly bigger role than usual... and a Bond girl ended up dead by 007's own hand for the first time. And in Die Another Day... well, we saw Bond getting caught big time.

I actually plead to see what Tarantino would do.
