Indy/Family Guy episode? - Maybe in the future

Show's creator said he would love to tackle Indy

Though Stewie and the gang have acted out several great scenes from the Indiana Jones saga on their show in the past, they have never done an entire episode focusing on the adventures of the fedora wearing archaeologist.

But maybe that will soon change...

Speaking with Craveonline.com, "Family Guy" creator, Seth MacFarlane, expressed interest in doing an episode of the popular animated comedy series soley on Indy, similar to what he's done with George Lucas' other creation "Star Wars".

Crave Online: Is there another movie that you love enough to want to build a whole episode around?

Seth MacFarlane: We?d love to do the Indiana Jones series, at least the first three.

Crave Online: What different Family Guy characters would you cast as Indy, Marion, etc?

Seth MacFarlane: I guess Peter would be Indy. Lois would be Marion. And Stewie would be Short Round. No, Stewie might be, what?s his name? The German guy. The guys who burns his hand. I don?t remember his name. [Major Toht].

The "Family Guy" Star Wars show was hysterical, and it showed that the folks behind it were true fans and inserted subtle in-jokes that brought smiles to the legion of Star Wars fans who watched. Now, Star Wars fans can look forward to Seth MacFarlane's next trip to a galaxy far, far away when the debut their version of "The Empire Strikes Back" next fall.

Here is hoping they do a better (and more respectful) job with Indiana Jones than his last animated TV appearance on the season's premiere episode of "South Park". OUCH!

An all-Indy episode spoof would be good. The Blue Harvest episode is great and I can't wait for the Something Something Something Dark Side and Episode VI: The Great Muppet Caper episodes.

Although Indy is harder to incorporate all of the characters in. Star Wars has so many characters that it's easier to work the supporting cast in.

For a Raiders spoof:

Peter - Indy
Lois - Marion
Quagmire - Belloq
Stewie: Toht
Brian: Sallah
The Chicken: German Mechanic (this is a no-brainer)
Chris: Monkey Man (complete with evil monkey from his closet)
Meg: The creepy spirit whose face morphs into a skeleton (to parody her one scene as the trash compactor creature)
Cleveland: Katanga
Mort: Dietrich (it would just be funny seeing a nebbish Jew playing a Nazi)
Mr. Herbert: The Imam
Joe: Satipo

I'd love to see Family Guy tackle the Indiana Jones series. Even though I think their comedy is declining, I'm sure they'd do an awesome job.

No Satipo should be played by that Foreign Guy that takes sarcasm as the truth. I could see it now

I don't think Family Guy has been funny for some time now, although I would be interested in seeing an all-Indy special.

"Awww. Sweet."

Oh, that would be too great.

It would also be hilarious, Lon, to see Herbert the Pervert play Gobler. If you're familiar with this one of my favorite FG characters and Gobler's disliking of Marion you could imagine why...

Or they could have him as one of the Thugee should they do a spoof on ToD, looming over those enslaved adolescent boys.

HERBERT: (He stands beside his dog, hunched over his walker in an exposing guard's uniform, whip in hand and in his whistley toothed elderly voice he softly sings the Village Folk's YMCA whilst posed next to a fearful, half dressed Chris picking away at the rock)

"It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A, it's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A-a-a.. Hmmmmmm...

You better get yor' fat ass back to work or I'm gonna haft'a whip you right in the pen*s."

EDIT*D: Pen*s a*d vag*na a*e f*lter*d??

You guys know everyone has one or the other, right?....

Why Family Guy is pretty funny. Granted their new episodes arern't that great but look at these classic Indy parodies and theres a billion more on the show.

I'm with those that aren't a fan of Family Guy. It has its moments, but falls flat a lot and is one of those products that thinks it's a lot smarter than it really is. Plus the fan-base is obnoxious as hell.

That said, Blue Harvest was really well done. I found myself laughing quite a few times(though I'm a sucker for anything that spoofs Star Wars ;) ). Plus John Williams' score has the power to levitate anything.

I hope it works well with Indy.

Spielberg and Lucas seem willing to sell anything to anyone these days - still, it would be a shame if Junior's name was sullied by association with this cretinous, antihumorous "show".

I dislike it because the show is far from funny. Simple as that.

Blue Harvest had its moments, yeah, but crap like the couch gag, the stupid musical number, the lame don't get cocky joke, and...well, about a laundry list of other things.

Not. Funny.

It'd be good if they did that, they have the staff of ra on a family guy episode and that was a good put into it. i'd like to see more

Blue Harvest had it's moments, not many but it had them. I agree not that funny. I have to say I know people who would do that sort of dumpster diving and it is friggin irritating, so I laughed out loud at the couch gag...

I LOVE busting balls, (if you couldn't tell) and would say crap like..hey! that portable commode is in PERFECT shape!
