Trilogy on Blu-Ray

Indiana Jones is a dormant franchise to Lucasfilm right now the movies on bluray are more a timing thing. Anyone else would be marketing Indy 24/7 as there is plenty of opportunity for more movies/games/merchandise but Lucasfilm under Lucas are missing out which is why Kathleen Kennedy has been brought onboard to develop those operations.

Does anyone know what the difference between the collectors and regular edition will be?

The Collector's Edition will have a self-destructing KOTCS, to save yourself the trouble of having to do it yourself. :p

But seriously, I think, from Indy's bro's post, it's something dull like a film cell.

I woke up yesterday and suddenly felt sick of the smiling dog!

His back legs were gone and he was dragging himself around, so I put a shovel in the truck and drove him up to the woods. (I'd watched Million Dollar Baby the previous night ).

Virtual hugs and cyber-kisses to the both of you. When I get the films on blu, you're both invited to my Nerd Lair for a viewing. The seating is cramped, so one of you is going to have to sit on my lap....work it out between the two of you, don't make me choose!

So while the US version is a book with the discs in sleeves and the art/photos and poster side by side in a book format, the international versions will look like this:

Flat version:

Personally... I prefer the US version. It makes much more sense to see the new art next to the poster and photos. In the international version, it's a bit odd to have the new art on the reverse. You'd have to flip it over to see the artwork. And even then, the movies aren't in order. It's TLC, TOD, KOTCS and Raiders. Oh well, I know there are those who hate sleeves so they'll be happy with importing. I'm sticking with the book though since I prefer it in terms of design and I don't think sleeves damage blu-rays (though they can damage DVDs).

Hopefully deleted scenes are worked into the docs?

You can forget about that possibility.

I doubt youre going to find "deleted scenes" in a documentary entitled "On the set." ;)

Plus, that's only about Raiders. Nothing on the other 2.

I wonder if there is anyway to just purchase Raiders on Blu-ray?
Technically it's the only one that got the real HD 5k scan transfer treatment...
my pocket book is getting lighter these days you know? and since I already own those other special features... yeah...

Wow.

Seriously, you guys?

It's all the movies in HD with lossless sound. If that's not enough to get Indiana Jones fans excited, then what do you really care about?

Yeah, sure, I'd LOVE to have gotten more extras. There should have been one disc per film. But I'm happy with what we're getting.

I thought it was confirmed that we were going to get the full Cairo Swordsman fight on this. Guess that could possibly be worked in with the 'Raiders' stunts features.

Either way, I'm still excited about the release. Not excited about the KOTCS double dip, though.
