RIP Don LaFontaine

You may not know his name, but I can say for a fact that you will all recognize his voice. Don LaFontaine has been the narrating movie trailers for decades and is the most recognizable voice over actor of all time. think of his catch phrase "In a World..." and you should know who i'm talking about. you may recognize him from one of the geico commercials a year or 2 ago.

Sadly, the industry lost one of it's greatest voices this week as LaFontaine pasted away. We will all miss him; he certainly left his mark and I can safely say that the movies will never be the same again.

That sucks! :(

The very idea his iconic voice will no longer be heard in trailers is near impossible to phantom. The end of an era in the advertisement business.

R.I.P. Don

Just think of all the movie trailers that he's done. I wonder who Hollywood will replace him with?

A woman I work with used to handle his finances at an accounting firm in Los Angeles and said what a great guy and family man he was. She was even friends with his family.
He will be missed.

Man, that guy could make a trip to the grocery store sound *****in'! What a loss, maybe God just needed him as the voice-over guy for the second coming. R.I.P.

[Edit] Hey, this thing edited "*****in'"?
