Homer Hits Our Shores. There Will Be Booze...

An Irish-themed episode of "The Simpsons" will bow Tuesday in Ireland and the U.K. -- the first time the show has ever premiered an episode outside of the U.S.

The Ireland episode, titled "In the Name of the Grandfather," airs in the U.S. on Sunday.

The time is now ten minutes past 1:00pm out here in Los Angeles California and Dr. Gonzo has moved on to his third helping of Wild Turkey. Even though my Irish roots were urging me to drink Jameson's Irish whisky my taste buds said Kentucky Bourbon this day!

The weather is so nice I could go for some Magner's, in Ireland it's Bulmer's.Mmm, some Redbreast, John Powers and trying the once again legal in the US: Paddy's. Smithwicks and if I find a good pour, maybe a Guinness.

...and may your coffin be constructed from a 100-year old tree that we plant tomorrow.

Happy, St. Patrick's Day, everyone!!! Didn't wanna unnecessarily start a new thread for this occasion and since there were already three threads with this title, I figured I'd dust off this gem of a blarney stone! :) I dont always make a fuss about this day, despite being Irish, but friends and I are making it up as we go tonight. May to to a local establishment with free Roast and Corn Beef tonight, in honor of St. Patrick, and croon some toons while there (because they have Karaoke), or may converge at home and watch one of the Ridiculous "Leprechaun" "horror" movie sequels, and provide the much deserved MST commentary, for a laugh! :gun:

Those tend to get funnier/more stupid with each sequel, but haven't seen the new one yet. Leprechaun: Back to the Hood ripped off The Fellowship of the Rings prologue in the first 5 mins, so it was absurd from the get go! Hope everyone has a great time and drinks responsibly.

And in the words of the old Irish blessing: May Ye get tu Heffin haff un err befurr the devil knows yer dead!! ;)
