Polybius

As I said in parenthesis in the title, I'm not sure if this could really classify as archeology, but a while back I heard about this video game called Polybius that was only released in Portland, Oregon in the early 80s and hearing things about how it made people crazy and cause things like horrific nightmares and suicidal tendencies. As if to make things even more strange, the legend also says that these "men in black" would show up to collect data from the machines. And then a few weeks later, all the machines disappeared without a trace. I personally think it's just an urban legend, but you can find out more about it here:

Sounds like good material for a cheesy horror film.

I could very well be an urban legend. For some reason it made me think like it could've come out of an X-Files or Fringe episode.
