Anybody met Harrison Ford recently? Or hope to?

I never met Harrison Ford. But I hope to, even though I know that will never happen since I live on the East Coast and not on the West Coast of the country.:(

I get the stupid earring, I totally get the time(s) he's worn chuck taylors with a suit. That's all punk rock. At any age, I guess. But this:

Seriously, what's with the fruity scarf? For such a macho guy, it seems really out of place.

I met him at the "Cowboys and Aliens" premiere in Berlin last summer. It was amazing. I had to wait three hours until they arrived, but it was totally worth it, since I got a really good position besides the red carpet. Harrison Ford signed my Indy Empire Magazine cover from 2008.:hat:

Then Daniel Craig came and signed my Casino Royale poster. He took my camera to take a pic of both of us (he does that often!), but unfortunately he did it too fast for the settings of the camera.

Yet, one of the best days in my whole life. Oh, and Jon Favreau and Olivia Wilde came very close to me as well.:)

Slightly off topic... but the only premiere gathering I've seen was for the Corpse Bride, which I happened to stumble upon by chance because I was coincidentally on a night out in Leicester Square. I ended up meeting Tim Burton, Christopher Lee and Helen Bonham Carter (Johnny Depp wasn't there). I wasn't expecting that - what a strange, but good night that was... :)

I met Peter Mayhew(Chewbacca) and Richard Leparmentier(Admiral Motti) at PHX comic-con one year. They were the first celebrities I had ever met so I was incredibly star-struck. I got Mayhew's autograph, and for some dumb reason I asked if I could take Richard's picture:confused:. He thanked me for asking him kindly and allowed me to, when I got home his eye's were closed in the pic LOL. Aw well. I had never had a grasp for how tall Chewbacca was in the movies, but even at almost 70, Peter towered over every one in Exhibit Hall!

Last year I met Billy Dee Williams (Lando) at a Con which was really cool. He strolled in 30 minutes late in his rich-people pajamas but he held respect towards the fans and asked us all how we were doing.:)

I managed to persuade my girlfriend to go with me to a Star Wars event in London a few years ago (the only one I've ever been to). By some quirk of fate we managed to stay in the same hotel as many of the stars/actors who were there. Now being a childish Star Wars geek, the likes of Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels et al are probably the only people out there that can allicit a sense of me being star struck... whereas my girlfriend (not knowing a Sith from a Jedi) is overtly gregarious and has no such inhibitions (as she doesn't know who these people are)... Therefore, she was chatting/laughing/joking with the likes of Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Jeremy Bulloch and Dave Prowse all night; and I was just quietly sitting there tight lipped and thinking to myself "wow that's really Luke Skywalker... that's Boba Fett, that's Darth Vader"... very, very sad. ;)

I never have and I think I'd be pretty shy to meet him. I've only met a few actors, mostly voice actors from anime shows I liked, the only ones I've met who I actually saw on screen were a guy from Power Rangers who does anime dub voice overs and Melissa Anderson who played Mary Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie. I met her at her book signing and I read later in her book that she was considered for the part of Marion.:)

That's funny.

I spotted Kenny Baker walking down a street from a bus, got so exicted that I shouted and pointed "Look it's Artoo, Detoo.". Everyone turned and another joker on the bus did the loudest series of beep and whistles. Kenny kindly acknowledge our impromptu ovation by waving his hand dismissivley at the bus. Then bus then drove on.

The end.
