I'm not sure I'll really go see this in the theater. I thought the last one was quite boring, lacked suspense, Tom Hanks brought nothing special to the role and occasionally I couldn't help but laugh when I shouldn't. Somehow I have my doubts that this is going to be any better...

I thought Hanks, who I usually enjoy, was astonishingly dull in the first movie.

A black hole of anti-charisma. The character had no presence.

Not looking forward to seeing him again in that role.

I didn't read the books or have expectations so I though the Da Vinci Code was pretty good. Didn't like Tom's hair though. Looks like they toned it down a bit.

Good to see Ewan in it. Didn't know he was in this.

I recently read the book "Angels and Demons" and have read and seen "The DaVinci Code".

"Angels" was written before "DaVinci" and has a much wilder story, but has some
similarities, including the Catholic Church, European sites, and ancient cults.

At the beginning, the hero, who is the same guy in both books, flies on a spaceship
whose pilot plays country music.

The girl in "Angels" is much sexier than the one in "DaVinci".

And here's an odd item:
Both books have villians who were crippled by polio as children.

I'm looking forward to the next Robert Langdon book The Solomon Key, but there still isn't a confirmed release date.

I've read neither book. Is Angels stronger on the page than Da Vinci..?

So far I like Angels better because it has a more serious tone and is more belivable to me. Da Vinci was alright but it was just to far fetched in my opinion. Angels deals with severt society's,age old revenge plots, and things of that nature and I'm only on page 50. It almost reminds me of an Indy adventure.

Nurhachi1991, are you reading the Illustrated Edition? It made the story so much better with photos from the actual locations. I also have the Illustrated Edition for The Da Vinci Code.

I prefere the un-illustrated versions. Its much better imo to let the story make up a picture of the setting in your mind.

I read the illustrated DaVinci Code, but the unillustrated Angles & Demons. I really enjoyed the illustrations, because the book is based on real life locations, and it was nice to have a picture to go along with the locations.

I enjoyed Angles & Demons a little more than The DaVinci Code. I liked the frantic chanse through Vatican City.

Although in terms of being more realistic, (without spoiling anything) the ending was way more far-fetched in Angles & Demons. I'm curious to see how they protray this on screen.
