You know what I like? The very short chase scene in LC...

Sinister man: Mister Brody?
Sinister man: Welcome to Iskenderun. The director of the museum of antiquities has sent a car for you.
Brody: Oh, what?... your servant, sir.
Sallah: And I am his.
Sinister man: Follow me, please.

Brody: My reputation precedes me.
Sallah: There is no museum in Iskenderun.

Second man: Papers please.
Sallah: Papers? (Laughs) Of course! 'Run'
Brody: Yes.
Sallah: Papers, sir. Got it here. Just finished reading it myself. (laughs) 'Run!'
Brody: Yes.
Sallah: Egyptian mail. Morning edition. (To Brody) Run!
Brody: Did you say... ? Uh, uh...
*SMACK*
Sallah: Run!

Hmm...anyone ever see The In-Laws, with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin? That had a couple of funny chases, including one incredibly slow one on the streets of New York and another one that included cars driving backwards on the freeway (as well as some fruit carts!)...plus the famous "serpentine" scene.

Now that I think about it, the movie "What's Up Doc" with Barbara Striesand, none the less (thank goodness) has a very well done "chase" scene.

Trouble with this thread, 00Kevin, is you listed to many...we are all stumped.

Submarine: "The Hunt for Red October"

No seriously. Are Spaceships in the list? Star Trek II -The Wrath of Khan. The chase near the end.

Chases

"The Great Locomotive Chase" (even mentions "chase" in the title)

"The 7% Solution" has a chase down the top of a train

"Master and Commander" Far Side of the World" involves a chase by an English warship

Ah...

North by Northwest!

Specifically the crop duster scene...I'd call it a chase, wouldn't you?

Heh, whatever happpened to Kristy Swanson anyway?

As for North by Northwest, I love the crop-duster scene and watch it just to remind myself that there was a time in our not too distant past when this country didn't have wall-to-wall sprawl.

I don't know why but I've got Jerry Bruckheimer movies on my mind, so how about the Connery/Cage chase scene in the Rock?

From a stunt/action point-of-view, the Cage-after-Connery chase scene is as least as good or better than most of the Bond films posted above. Plus I like it because the scene acts like this little action-movie-sorbet-interlude from the main storyline. When I first saw the film, I thought the chase was extraneous, but I know understand it's purpose of breaking up the close-quarter action of the main storyline. Good stuff with some funny lines

The Original Italian Job car chase through under and over Italy.

The new one has no decent stunts and sense of fun. Its dull.
