Tell her that I consider this kind of a "Must Have" for an Indy fan. Period. This isn't an action figure, prop replica, or costume. The films are the very genesis of your fandom, and the rest is just, well, the rest. You have every right to view these films as they were intended to be seen. Period. :hat:

I showed her this, she rolled her eyes, sighed, and ignored me. :(

You can tell by the cross-hatching!

Just look at that horrible divider between the upper two images on that box!

that is fake , looks like they just added the blu ray logo on top but it doesnt quite match up to the boxset

It's not fake. It came from a promo website.

However, it's possible that it is just a temporary mock-up, at this point.

Kiki Kat, this is Indy's brother addressing you directly. Larry is getting these movies on blu. If you do not understand this and/or deal with it in an orderly and civil fashion, then I shall sentence you to however many lashes of Indy's whip per day as your husband sees fit until such time as these discs are in his possession. From what little I know of you, I suspect you may enjoy that anyway. Win/win! Indy saves the day yet again!

Since that cover has been used before, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's not what it will look like.

And since Spielberg said there wouldn't be any kind of modifications in the movies, aside for the HD tansfer of course, we don't need to worry about "Cairo Swordsman shooting first".

Does that mean the CGI cliff in Raiders will be gone?

The photo order on the box is strange.

1. KOTCS
2. ROTLA
3. LC
4. TOD

Hi, Digitalfreak.:hat: Where is this "promo website"? The film titles on the spine are NOT written in English...and that is a big clue towards its illegitimacy! Whoever made this mock-up needs a new lesson in perspective angles because there are 5 points which are off. Plus, the highlight on the blue doesn't line up properly and all the corners of the box are too sharp. ("FPO" means "For Print Only" but what is this "mubises" watermark and why is it there?)

Hopefully, the Blu-ray cover/s will offer something new, though it would be no big surprise if they 'cheaped out' and re-used the 2008 design.

Mr. MTM: The few Ravenheads who were lucky enough to attend the 30th anniversary, HD screening of "Raiders" last year reported that the CG cliff shot has been removed.

Mubis is a well-known spanish blu-ray website. Think of them as the official blu-ray.com for Spain. They have contacts in the industry and used to be known as zonadvd. That may be why you see different titles printed on the spine.

Again, it's entirely possible that this is an early mock-up. I've gotten press materials from LFL before with similar problems.

I noticed that myself; indeed, there's no option to go to either the old old site or the new old site, to be more specific / precise. The first major site overhaul a few years ago dramatically reduced the total amount of 'content' there, and now they've done it again. At this rate, if they announce an Indy V, the site will get another major overhaul that'll turn it into a single page with just a picture of a hat.

At least we don't have to navigate it with Adobe Flash now. ;)

Since Indy is second banana in George Lucas' world, I'm not expecting this to have all the awesome special features that I would want (deleted scenes, commentaries with Spielberg and Ford, alternate takes, etc). All I'm expecting and all I really need is a quality transfer to high definition. Anything else is icing on the cake. Everything I've read on this release points to exactly that, a nice upgrade to HD. Also, from everything I've read in this thread and others like it in other forums, I expect ebay to get flooded with the new KOTCS blu-rays as soon as this hits the shelves. For a completionist like myself, it's nice that all four will be included, but I wonder what on earth another Blu release of Crystal Skull would have to offer fans. The last one was loaded with special features as it is, and the transfer was about as good as anyone could expect.

If what ever website you are referring to says "all" the movies on Blu ray, by definition "all" would mean every one of them.

They are advertising and already pre selling them on Amazon like this......

I have ordered mine already so it damn well better have all 4 films with it. :hat:

It's tempting to do so, I almost did myself. But then again, do you remember how Best Buy had that exclusive release for KOTCS with the crystal skull replica? This may not get the marketing that SW gets, but we (hardcore fans) are not the only ones excited for this release. ROTLA is kind of a big deal. Don't worry, there will be plenty of discs to go around. I say cancel your pre-order, and wait to see what comes out. There's a good chance that an extra 10 bucks might get you something special. ;)

im sure that if they are sold seperately and you pay for all the movies they will send you all the film's , but all i'm saying is that paramount hasn't said much on this yet! i mean i have kotcs on dvd and blu ray. i bought the dvd when the movies came out and the blu ray at a cd trade in store and got the movie on blu ray for 9.99. so i didnt spend much for it .i for one hope they sell them individually, but if they have a gift set with extra's and behind the scenes i will get that instead, :D

What I want is the collection to have something "collectible" in it. A figurine, statuette, nice Indy-fied box, etc... Not just a plain box set. Like the special KOTCS DVD which had a crystal skull and that dvd case for the trilogy that looked like Indy's luggage and gear.

Make the bluray set like the Harry Potter special edition DVDs; one had a wand, the other had a really neat "box" which looked all potter-ish. You know, something really worth it as a collection.

...of course I would really like MORE EXTRAS! Deleted scenes, commentaries, detailed documentaries, etc. I want an Indy making of documentary that's as detailed as the Star Wars documentary, Empire of Dreams.
