Can we get Indy around the globe ?

I hope you will be entertained very soon
Just warming up the crowds. I love it when they beg for it :whip:

No, seriously. Sorry and apologies, the Travelling Indy travelogue should have started last week, but I am just moving jobs ( (y) ) so am a bit distracted this week. In fact, Travelling Indy has been a good luck charm on that front, as he was at the interview (because I thought if it ain't work out, at least I can do some pix with Mini Indy in that place where normally you can't get into easily  )

So all this isn't forgotten, and I look forward to posting the pictures. In fact, I am working on something that I hope will live up to the high quality here.

BTW, a cry for help  "help" : does anyone here have the iconic Indy yellow-orange film poster typefont (you guys know what I mean!) on their computer, and write out "Travelling Indy and the Discus of Pegasus" in the right style so that I can use this as a picture header (am planning to do a Mini Indy "comic" style approach for my leg of the travelogue)? I have been trying to do this, but failed miserably (can't even locate the typefont  )

Just a short announcement to keep the waiting audience happy: Stoo and I have linked up to create a Travelling Indy script header, and are having fun.

So please stay in your seat, and if you want to tar and feather Archaeos for the delays, please find all the tar barrels and plenty of feathers just at the entrance of the Raven, outside, next to the freezing yaks and the booze bottles.

Cheers!

The fact that you two chaps are collaborating is exactly the result I wanted from this project. Carry on !

Just wondering, what exactly is a "Travelling Indy script header"? Glad to see some action in this thread, would love to see more pics.

I still have visions of a great website detailing all the adventures of Mini Indy.

Eh, well, :p , it's a header for a comic-like page (featuring the pix taken) that consists of the Indiana Jones script (typefont) that graces, for example, Indiana Jones posters. I think marketers call this "franchise verbiage".

I am trying to put a little narrative to the pictures I have taken with Travelling Indy, because I got that idea mid-way through the shooting, and am experimenting with this right now. If this experiment will suck in the end result, please feel free to just :gun: me. :p :D

We are indeed having fun and, from the sounds of it, Archaeos' tour will be pretty swell.

@Nick: Any cheese is good cheese!:D

Well, I delivered the title graphic to Archaeos over 3 weeks ago (Oct. 10th) but he's probably been busy with his new job. Hopefully, he'll get back to us soon.

One thing we discussed was how to spell the word, "traveling/travelling". Normally. I use "traveling" but we settled on the double 'L'.:)

I've been loathe to jump over Archaeos, but Minindiana Jones has arrived safely in the Bay Area again. That said, my camera isn't shark proof. As a result, it's sitting on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean where it's probably being examined by an exceptionally curious kraken.

If any of my fellow Ravenites are wanting to take Indy out for another spin, I'm open to the idea. I'll need to get a new camera.

Both are correct. "Traveling" is American and "travelling" is British/Canadian.
D'oh! I was convinced it was the other way around.

That's really unfortunate about your camera, Sabbie.:(

Darn. Too late for to send the figure but in 2 days I'm leaving for a road trip that includes Aachen, Germany + Brussels & Waterloo, Belgium + Vimy Ridge, France for the Remembrance Day ceremonies on Nov. 11th. (Vimy is between & close to both the Somme and Flanders where Indy fought in the trenches). It would've been fun to have Minindiana visit his ol' pal Remy's homeland and a WW1 battlefield!

Same here, in three days I'll be headed to Rio de Janeiro, it would be a nice place to take some photos with Indy, specially since I'm going there for the historical buildings and museums in the city.

I would love to guide Little Indy here in Brazil, too bad next year is my last in college, so I don't have the time nor the money needed to travel around the country. But I'm planning a trip to China in january of 2014, so... who knows? :)
