Yeah, it don't make much sense. I believe that if Sly were going to announce the plot, he would do more than just make a phone call.
I will wait and see until I know for sure what the movie is going to be about, before I believe anything.

More disappointing Rambo 5 news. Apparently the earlier rumours are looking more and more likely to be true, and the poster that is featured, it's Stallone's. WTF?

Man, I hope he has a change of heart, or this is just one of several ideas he's floating around!

Rambo V is no more. Here is just one of many websites reporting the news. And, yes this is a little old.

Apparently, Rambo V isn't quite dead after all.

Rambo 5 would face similar challenges as an Indy 5.

I wonder if Stallone will direct this one, as each installment has had a new director (with Stallone himself having directed number four).

Rambo 4 was awesome.

The only similarities would be the age challenge.

As far as I'm concerned, Rambo can be more action/mindless (not a bad thing) than an Indy 5. That gives it way more leeway.

I think an audience expects a compelling story to come from an Indy movie, for Rambo, we just want to see blood with a somewhat believable plot.

I'd like to see someone else direct it.

I actually want to see Rambo back in the states for this RAMBO: LAST STAND film. It'd be a great bookend. The synopsis in the link on the last page gives me hope that it will be closer to FIRST BLOOD.

^According to that chart, Rambo V better be the first in the series to have a sex scene.

Recently they demolished the bridge from the first movie in Hope, BC. They had a Rambo sendoff for it. One of the actors that played one of the bad guys in First Blood even showed up in costume. Here's an article with a video:

If I'm not mistaken Rambo is killed in the book. He gets shot in the head.
