Walter B. Harris

Walter B. Harris can be seen in Young Indy in an episode called,Tangiers,1908.On Indiana Jones Wiki here: http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Walter_Harris He was portrayed by Kevin McNally.Seen here: He was seen a man who would disguise himself to blend in and therefore get around easily, and in real life he did do that.
The real Walter B. Harris, seen here in a disguise: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vSHAqTOlYM...s-liberado.gif was born in 1866(in England I think)and died 1933.Unfortunately,I couldn't find out where he was born or where he died. So,if anyone can help me on that,I would greatly appreciate it.

His non-fiction books about Morocco include:
Harris,Walter B. 1889. The Land of the African Sultan. London
Harris,Walter B. 1895. Tafilelt:the Narrative of a Journey of Exploration in the Atlas Mountains and the Oases of the North-West Sahara. London
Harris,Walter B. 1919. Modern Morocco, Bank of British West Africa. Tangier
Harris,Walter B. 1921. Morocco That Was. London,
Harris,Walter B. 1927. France, Spain and the Rif. London

I did find these two websites:
This article is called,A Journey to Tafilet Walter B. Harris(Nov.1,1893? or Dec.10,1894?)
The Geographical journal - Google Books Result: http://books.google.com/books?id=yWo...rris &f=false

With this article remember to read the bottom half first and the top half second, because for some reason they put it in backwards. This article is called,Moroccan Brigands Torture Journalist Walter B. Harris The New York Times(July 14,1903)

Oops! I forgot to mention that Walter B. Harris was a British newspaper correspondent for the London Times in Morocco.

The reason I wanted to write about this person was because I always liked the character in the YIJC and was happy to find out that he was real and that he actually did disguise himself to blend in and that's how he became one of the locals.
