Brian Tallerico said:These games recall generations of storytelling, in literature and cinema, echoing both ?Raiders of the Lost Ark? and the serial films that inspired it. As the series has progressed to the current generation of consoles, the visual language of the games has gotten even more cinematic and beautifully composed. They are games that put you in control of a blockbuster film, allowing you to step into the role of an action hero in ways that other franchises can?t come close to replicating. There?s a palpable sense of adventure in these games, and a perfect blend of authorship and storytelling in that you feel simultaneously like you are watching a fascinating story unfold and being an active participant.

IndyBuff said:I finally finished the game this evening and I'm already looking forward to going back for my Crushing run, as well as picking up the remaining treasures and photo opportunities. It's an amazing ride and I'm looking forward to jumping right back into it again.

Lost Legacy

Simon Parkin said:At some point the trajectory shifted. Games still borrow filmic techniques, but the truly cinematic video game ? that which seeks to mimic the characterisation, structure and run-time of a blockbuster movie ? is endangered, squeezed out by world-conquering, team-based eSports on one side and, on the other, everlasting online worlds where the game?s geography expands to match the player?s wanderlust. Naughty Dog remains one of the few purveyors of the filmic game. The American studio?s flagship Uncharted series remains the final bastion of this expensive, sophisticated form of game-making, earning plaudits from Hollywood-preeners such as Bafta and the Writer?s Guild of America.
TheFedora said:Finally got the game on Monday, didnt get around to playing it until last night. So playing on Medium, and I just barely got to the Western Ghats. From what I heard everyone saying about this level it appears to be quite expansive, probably larger then the Madagascar level on Uncharted 4. So it seems that this level is pretty big...might spend a few days. Looking at my artifact list, I skipped a few despite trying to be thorough... next play though Im looking at it with a guide, but for this one, Im just letting myself go through it just making sure I get a good time.
IndyBuff said:Not to spoil too much but there's an item that you can collect in the Western Ghats that makes finding treasures much easier on your second playthrough. I'm still using a guide in case I miss one but this item makes them pretty easy to find.
Evan Wells said:This Sunday, November 19, marks the 10th anniversary of the Uncharted: Drake?s Fortune launch in North America. At the time, we knew it was the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the studio?s history, but never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined that it would be the first step in an adventure that would span five games across two console generations during the last decade. We?re truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to build the world of Uncharted and tell unbelievable stories with Nate, Elena, Sully, Sam, Chloe, Nadine, and the rest of the cast; all while you, our biggest fans, were along for the ride.
IndyBuff said:I wish they had added a couple maps or something special. I already have the characters and the themes, while nice to look at, aren't anything mind-blowing. Give us one map from each game and then move on.
Sid Shuman said:Join us as we celebrate the Uncharted 10th Anniversary at PSX 2017 with an unprecedented gathering of the cast from throughout the series! Nolan North, Emily Rose, Richard McGonagle, Claudia Black, Laura Bailey, Troy Baker, Graham McTavish, and Robin-Atkin Downes reflect on the series and share their memories with guest moderator Greg Miller (Kinda Funny). We?ll also be hosting a special signing session with the cast prior to the panel. Keep an eye on the PlayStation Experience app for time and location!
TheFedora said:Agreed, I still have yet to replay Lost Legacy (mainly because I got stuck on the Phantom Pain and still need to play install Darksiders) But I wouldn't mind seeing another story in this franchise. Maybe a sequel for Chloe and Nadine? Or another character, as I think Nathan's retired after this.

IndyBuff said:I really liked Chloe in the lead role in LL and wouldn't mind her as the face of the franchise for a while. A new game once every two or three years would be a nice treat.

This is a great promotional angle for the forthcoming Indy game. I've played generic Pirate, Sherlock Holmes, and "Wizard School" rooms, and wouldn't care whether an Indy room was licensed.a show floor "puzzle room" (Escape Room?) in a life size creation of Nate's Attic.
