It does have something to do with archaeology.
I work for a government funded scheme at the British Museum that records objects found by the public. They voluntarily take the objects that they record to one of our staff, who will identify and record the object. This information is then recorded on a database that is available to the world on the internet at
http://www.findsdatabase.org.uk
I advise on the Information technology that the scheme employs for the project to run. So basically, I keep the database running, its php, mySQL, running on a Linux server with Apache as the webserver (if anyone is interested!!).
The museum has a new exhibition opening this week on the 21st November, relating to treasure, lots of shiny objects!

Dan
