Terminator Salvation

Well, I finally did it. I've made a Terminator Fan thread for anyone who cares. Here you can gush over the first two, whine about the third (personally, I thought it was a flawed but still one hell-of-an-awesome action movie), and speculate about the fourth. If T4 is made, these are my very hopeful requirements:

1. Arnold. Arnold. Arnold. (Did I mention Arnold?)
3.Title should be The Terminator: Revelations
4. The film should focus on the beginning of the war, recount how Conner and Kate create the resistance, finally show us where Kyle Reese came from and how he met Conner, all kinds of cool stuff about the failure of the T-600's and such, and have the film's climax be the liberation of the concentration camps and the Machine's long-awaited defeat...as well as showing the Resistance finding SkyNet's time machine and sending back Kyle and the first Good T-800.
5. Stan Winston and ILM MUST return for the effects.
6. A good director who knows and respects the Terminator myth like Andrew Davis. I don't know!
7. An animal Terminator sent through time to kill Sarah Conner's ancestors in the Western 1800's. (just an idea)

I really enjoyed The Terminator... I didn't enjoy any of the sequels half as much...

"the failure of the T-600's"
I used to bullseye Womprats in my T-600 all the time... ,-)

Any word on if Arnold will be in it yet? All i know is that they are making another one and hope to make more afterwards.

I've only seen the first Terminator and thought it was pretty dumb. The original Matrix had the same premise (AI taking over the world and humans near extinction) and was much better.

I hear Arghnould has another full-time job...or at least that is the rumor. ;) :D

Yeah, I think his acting career is just about over. Too bad about that rule you need to be a natural born citizen to be president. I'd vote for him.

"The original Matrix had the same premise"
Where do you think they got the idea from?

"and was much better"
In your book maybe.... The Terminator was way ahead of it's time. (Pun unintended)

Great, ORIGINAL story (Something The Matrix had NOTHING of... Originality) interesting, well portrayed characters.... an appealing level of humanity (Something the Terminator sequels missed by a mile)

The Terminator was a DAMN fine piece of film.... I won't expect much but skite from any new Terminator movie...

Like Rambo 1, the Terminator was awesome, i am not sure when it came out and WAY too lazy to look it up on imdb, but lets say 1984ish, that movie was awesome. I remember being 11 or so and seeing it and loving it. I still do. I actually think they did an ok job on number 2.

I agree with CH, no more Terminators need to be made. And Arnold, well maybe he should leave politics and work on new movies, like Kindergarten Cop 2, Nap Time!

"I agree with CH"
Is that the sound of hell freezing over??? LOL

"they did an ok job on number 2. "
It was an o.k. action movie... sort of "gun and explosion porn", but the story was lacking... as was the acting (Mind you that might have been what the director was going for)

The less said about the 3rd, the better....

The Terminator is and will always be a good movie. And there may be people out there that don't like it,and that's cool, because I understand why someone shouldn't like it.But,personal preference and quality are two different things, and that's what most people forget.

I liked terminator right from the start. Then came Terminator two and I was major terminator-freak!

Then came the third, and I was littery disgusted(come on,even as an action-film it sucks big-time,I laughed throughout the whole movie!Ridiculous!)

A fourth??? NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terminator is the best. I remember when I went to my friend Billy's house and he had The Terminator. Because of that, he was the coolest kid on the block...until I got Jurassic Park, and a day before its release date no less. Ah, growing up in the 90's. The only thing better would be growing up in the late 70's and early 80's.

Terminator 2 I liked but not as much.

Terminator 3 couldn't have been good because I barely remember it. But it couldn't have been too bad either.

Terminator 4 should be fun since it is going to take place in the future world which I always thought was the most interesting part of Terminator.

My initial reaction to this news is that any new Terminator move is going to suck. HARD.

The first two were great, popcorn-y fun. But that last one--whooooa. I couldn't even sit through it all. Here's hoping I'm proved wrong about this.

Isn't there a new Teminator-related TV show? 'The Sarah Conner Chronicles', or somesuch? Is that any good?

I dunno... I kind of enjoyed T2:3D at Universal. :)

But I think that's the only Terminator "movie" I've seen all the way through. Haha.

Really, you enjoyed that? I thought it was an interesting the way its done, but kind of dull.

Terminator 3 was lame. The first was ok, but the second was the best.

... the idea of it as a new trilogy sounds kinda dumb to me. I think we've seen the best of what can come out of that franchise already.
