NATIONAL TREASURE moreso, IMO.

I mean, I love the first PIRATES movie, but NT is clearly more like Indy in that it's about, you know, a guy who searches for lost treasure. It's one of the few films since THE LAST CRUSADE that, I felt, really fit in with the fun style of the Indy films, which is probably why I really really dug it. I'm looking forward to the new one opening Friday, and I hope it does well so we can get at least a few more.

The Mummy flicks all the way! Even though POTC was pretty f-ing great on it's own merits...
The first film were good for both series, but the sequels and spin off were crap.

No, doesn't sound good to me either.

I really thought "The Mummy," or in German, "Die Mummy," had it going on, but the sequal sucked. I thought National Treasure was pretty awful to watch. Lucas' quote in the Vanity Fair article on NT was right on IMO.

You can be sure to see a whole new "trilogy" soon enough, if Steve-O decides he's short on money - probably starting with "Mutt Jones-Ravenwood & The Aliens of Eden"... (shudder)
