The best thing about this film is the slip case on the DVD cover - it's a really cool holographic image with incredible depth!
No, seriously the movie wasn't that bad at all. Just seemed a bit thin. And Nick Cage still doesn't seem very credible as Johnny Blaze. Time for him to stand aside for Daniel Ketch, which was where I thought the film was going when he gave up the curse...only to ask for it back again at the end.
Apart from the special effects, which were very good, the film looks low budget. When a car crash went wrong during filming there was no money in the pot to do it again, so they simply rewrote the script to match.
The cheesiest moment of all was thankfully left on the cutting room floor. A deleted scene shows Roarke hiring a car and quibbling over the contract.
While the Ghost Rider himself looks great, I haven't seen a Ghost Rider film yet that reflects the feelings I got from reading the comics. The biggest problem of all is probably Nick Cage. Not his acting, but his appearance and age.
