SPECTRE will be even better than SkyFall I believe.
That shouldn't be too difficult. Even "Moonraker" is better than "SkyFAIL"!

Skyfall was the second-best Bond movie of all-time! Only Goldfinger was better. I hope Spectre will be just as good, but Skyfall set the bar pretty high.

Skyfall wasn't a bad entry, but I still wouldn't say it was even close to the best in the series. Honestly, the flick overdid it with all the callbacks to the classic Bond lore, bordering on bad fan fiction at times. It felt especially jarring after Casino Royale, which had its share of winks and then some, but was far more subtle with it.

Oh well. Each to their own, I guess.

Wonder what's up with Quantum...will it evolve into Spectre? Perhaps rival groups fighting for dominance?

That is an excellent, excellent idea. Karma to you sir. After SkyFall -- and all the focus on MI Branch -- it would be great to a film with Bond left to his own resources and caught in the middle of a global gang war. That's a movie I would pay to see.

As for the Skyfall vs. Quantum discussions, put me in the Skyfail category. I think Quantum is an elegant film with a rare edge.

Wow Stoo, thats some put down for Skyfall.

Skyfall may be very contrived, but I found it one of the more enjoyable Bond movies. Not the best, but I thought it was good nonetheless.

I started watching Bond with GoldenEye. I stopped after Casino Royale.

But I wanted to stop in and mention that filming on SPECTRE is potentially going to be delayed due to the theft of some nine luxury vehicles from a garage in Düsseldorf. Five of the vehicles were tricked out Range Rover Sports destined for an action sequence in the Alps.

The Guardian said:
The cars, including five Range Rover Sport models, are worth £630,000, and had been specially customised for the Bond film. The Daily Express reports that the theft could delay filming, and that the German police have no leads. Land Rover told the paper: ?We are aware of the theft of a number of Range Rovers in Dusseldorf, Germany. This is a criminal act and the police are carrying out a full investigation.?

But even more interesting: Bond's 24th outing has barely begun filming and is already wildly over budget. The production sits comfortably in the mid-$300's. Yes, mid $300-million(s). There are some potential spoilers in the article, so tread carefully. In fact, don't follow the link at all if you want to be surprised.

More empirical evidence of why box office receipts mean bupkis.

Throw on a nice cardigan, grab a brandy snifter, make some fondue, and throw in a blu-ray of Goldfinger. You'll be happy you did.

But make sure its with a nice lady not some unpleasant crone, concerning the fondue-ing. :p

That plot is no Bond. It's a giant cluster****. The plot sounds worse than Quantum. They'd be better off putting Daniel Craig's 007 in an Orion capsule and sending Bond to the moon. Give me a Roger Moore Bond movie any day over that.

Meanwhile, at Sony's head offices in the US and Japan...

More accurately, the article being linked makes it sound like a giant cluster****. Whether the finished film will be, is whole another story.

That being said - I have to agree, it's not exactly the best possible piece to turn up the hype, but anyone with even slightest sense of medium awareness shouldn't use words like that based on the very narrow slot said report provides to the finished piece.

Of course, it's the Internet, so Fan Dumb is not in short supply.

Clarification, though... the comments here are being made after the story linked, right? Or is the actual script available somewhere?
