Attempting to make the Knight's Bible.

Since there appears to be no clean scans of the pages of the book seen in the movie, I've used the image of the manuscript to construct a bible pages image in Photoshop....while it's not 100% "screen accurate" by any means, it's about as close to it as I'm going to get. Just need to print it, heavily age it with walnut crystal ink, and bind up a book and try to make it look as real as I can. :p

Didn't you already make one of these?
My friar's manuscript replica

Anyway, there's an excellent picture of both pages in the book, "From Star Wars to Indiana Jones - The Very Best of the Lucasfilm Archives". It's a head-on shot of the open prop and perfectly rectangular (and much better than a photo any person could attempt to get from the travelling "Adventure of Archaeology" exhibition).

Looks good, Ramsey, but it'd be even better if you had the correct text on the left page. I can type it out for you (or maybe even scan the image if I have time).

If you want to get precise, the dimensions of the actual prop are:
28 x 21 x 5cm

My friar's manuscript replica

I had the same thought, but then figured that perhaps this current project seeks to replicate the living knight's Bible, not the friar's manuscript at Donovan's penthouse. Though having compared the two, I suppose I share your confusion. Perhaps they appear largely the same, with the primary difference being the amount of art in the "margins"?

Grail Knight's Bible

Well, this is the picture from the book..and the only good pic I've ever been able to find. Sure, I know my replica pages aren't perfectly accurate, but it's the best I can do with what I have to work with...and I'm happy with "good enough", since it's for my own personal collection anyway. It'll still be fun to make, even if I'm the only one seeing the final product....it's just going to be on my little Indy display upstairs by my computer desk along with all my other items.
