Hello Fedor,
I didn't really like any of the Published novels too much either due to the fact that they were written/geared for a more juvenile audience. It's not the authors' fault. They are very good authors. It was a miscalculation by Lucas. The man's a genius, but even geniuses make mistakes.

I'll tell you what, after you read through the Published Indiana Jones novels, go to the fan fiction page here and read mine. It's not finished yet, but it's the first of several that I have planned. I'm trying to keep to the feel of what an Indiana Jones story should be, while presenting it in a little bit more mature style, with the accent on adventure and intrigue and less emphasis on the supernatural.

Then again it might suck. But give it a try.

Monkey apologizes to all for the shameless self promotion in this post, but I don't have an agent;)

Reading this one wouldn't believe Monkey was a Doomer, as expressed by the monkey himself.;) Yes, self advertisement, nah, everyone should read it because its very enjoyable. As a matter of fact, Im looking forward to the other parts, do keep us informed our dear primate.:)

Note: The novel is very Raiders-esque, so if you are a Raiders fan like me, check it out.

Hey Fedor! Glad you've come across the Indy novels.

I think the best boooks are the ones written by Max McCoy as, to me he managed to capture the spirit of Indy very well.

They are (in order):

Philosopher's Stone
Dinosaur Eggs
Hollow Earth
Secret of the Sphynx

Enjoy! :D

Oh and read Monkey's novel! It's a blast and DOES NOT SUCK! :D

Canyon doesn't have an agent either and her novels can be found here - also apologies for the shameless self promotion:D

i just read the stones story canyon...wow!!! just cut a little bit of willie and replace it with marion and ill call it the best indy fanfic ive ever read (actually it is even without that, but that would make me super happy...as i read i just subsituted names a few times in my head).

im reading the rest soon. keep writting. its good stuff. every once in awhile the dialog wasn't quite how the character would say something i dont think, but the gist of the line came through just the same.

though i really wish you had kept marion with indy...marion should be his main girl!!! NOT SALENE! ::whines:: --marion fan til the end. forever indy and marion.

awesomenessness just the same!!!

NileQT87-Solo_Baggins, thank you, and thank you AGAIN for your kind comments! I'm really flattered that you liked Temple of the Stones!

It was my first Indy novel and looking back at it now, I understand where you are coming from in terms of dialogue.

I too like Marion a great deal, but I really wanted to create a character of my own, someone who is strong and feminine like Marion and a sort of mixture of all the other Indy girls, therefore I created Selene.

I really appreciate your feedback as it helps me to understand the areas which I can improve on.

The best fan fiction? Naw, not just saying it, but the best fan fiction I've ever read can be found here:

BTW, I've never had my stories called 'awesome' before, so thanks! :D
