I'd kind of like to add that although I voted for FOA, my second favorite is actually Infernal Machine. Despite its faults, (recycling and downplaying Sophia, less than spectacular combat) I think it beats out Emperor's Tomb.
There is no doubt that Emperor's Tomb is very exciting to play, but I feel it is the fighting, not the story, that drives on the game at most times. IE's storyline could use some fine-tuning, but I though the story line was a lot more fun than Emperor's. Besides, while the films have good combat, how many people does Indy really just stand around and punch out. In ET, Indy's like a fighting champion of the World or something. In the films He takes them out with either a gun (lacking a LOT in ET) or using the action around him. IF ET had a lite of variables such as grabbing a guy and throwing him into an on-moving vehicle, etc. that would be more like Indy.
IE captures more of the archeological side of Indy. There is quiet time to let Indy explore, without bad-guys at EVERY corner. Unfortunately much of this involves jumping-puzzles. But I feel those are better than insane Spider-Man whipping fests. (remind you of a certain level?)
Yeah, that was all. Just expressing my surprise that IE still has no votes while ET is cahllenging FOA.
