Those are pretty decent expansions; looking forward to these. A shame we still don't know what music's on the 5th disc! :)

Why would they go through all the trouble on releasing the full scores for the original trilogy and just leave KOCS like it is? There is more missing music there then any of the scores.

They cut the music to death on KOCS. The music that shows up in the movie is much better IMHO.

Because the original trilogy are classics and KOCS is not. Besides it usually takes years before a complete soundtrack is released. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was a happy exception and I don't count Star Wars: The Phantom Menace because they screwed up that release. Expect the full KOTS soundtrack in about 10-15 years if we're lucky.

Temple of Doom is missing the most music of any of the scores, not KOTS.

Not arguing that at all as i was let down by KOCS. Amen brother.

Yea you're right, but the score for KOCS was really the best thing I got out of the whole flick. I just wish it had the expanded Jungle Chase and the music from Area 51 when Indy makes his escape.

I'm still exited though, I've been waiting a long time for this. (y)

I think it has more to do with the fact the Crystal Skull soundtrack is just months old, and was already given a full CD; the original albums for the first three movies were determined largely by how much music could be comfortably fit on an LP. With Crystal Skull, they've already taken full advantage (more or less) of what a CD can accommodate, obviously without any need to consider LPs at all. Temple of Doom and Last Crusade still won't be complete, but they'll obviously be a lot closer to it than the original releases were (and presumably the additional cues on the fifth disc will include more music from those two, making them more complete in the box than the standalone releases will be, but then it's also possible the fifth disc will include additional Crystal Skull music as well).

This is great! I always thought Temple of Doom had the best score. Now we get most of the music and it?s in chronological order.

Nice musical critique there... And what would you base that opinion on?

Jaws took 25 years to get a complete soundtrack, E.T. 14 years, Close Encounters 21 years, Star Wars 20 years, Total Recall 10 years, Home Alone 2 10 years, Ghostbusters 22 years, Alien 28 years, etc. It's not common that a complete soundtrack is released in the first 10-15 years after a movie came out. They almost always only release a selection of the music.

Apologies... I thought you were suggesting it could never be regarded as a classic OST.

I think Ghostbusters is still a bootleg.

Problem is, right now everything is recovering from a case of Indy fever... Sorry to say in 10 to 15 years there might not be no demand.

Strike well the iron's hot, if you're releasing them, might as well do it all at ounce and well we just had the release of film.

Big ups for the tracklist! Since the collection spans all four films, i'm hoping the bonus disc includes additional music from all four films.

How exactly was it screwed up? Just out of curiousity.
