Hey guy's (Thanks for telling me about that FAN)
I was wondering what you think about the Indiana Jones
novels. Would you call them "Real" Novels because they
were made to create more money for LucasFilm and that makes
me feel like they are just "advertisements" like those
Halo books and the new "Brute Force" book (I don't think you could make a book about these things... gross)
Like would you call them advertisements or actually a novel
that sadly had to bare the name of a international corperation's movie character? I'm not saying I'm angainst them I just want to know what you think. awight.

I suppose I would call them real books, in the best (well, maybe not the best - not that they were often that good anyway) tradition of the pulp novel. At the time they were published, there wasn't really much to advertise, in the way of Indy. So they're legitimate, in that regard. However, it does kind of work in reverse...being about Indiana Jones, they have a built-in appeal.
