Haven't been following this thread since the game came out, to avoid any spoilers (please put SPOILER in your posts if you are going to!).
Anyway, I am happy to see some love for this game out there. I picked it up for the Wii on Wednsday, but didn't actually get to play until yesterday. I made it to the beginning of the Panama level and, so far, am really enjoying it! Is it the perfect game? Hardly but, seriously, if you were expecting perfection, I am truly sorry for you.
Anyway, the controls seem to work fine for me. Aiming on the gun levels is a little difficult at times, but I think those levels are a blast. I had a beast of a time on the street car chase though...and what happend to the fight on top of the street car???
To say this game is "on rails" is a little harsh I think. There is some exploring involved, but it defintely isn't an "open world" type game. Really like the voice actor they got for Indy! The fights are pretty challenging for me, but I'm not super gamer or anything. Flying is fun and also pretty challenging.
As far as bugs, I did have the game lock up on the San Francisco level and had to restart the Wii (actually had to unplug it to restart it) and there have been a couple of sound skips, but that's all I have noticed.
FOA is pretty easily unlocked (I think you only need one Glory point or something like that), so I started it up and had the same issue with quitting it...WTF?
Really not having any trouble following the story either, but I am reading the journal like others have mentioned. It does fill in a lot of the "blanks", but even without that it is pretty straightforward.
Anway, I'm sorry to hear that so many of you don't like it, but I am really having a good time with it so far.
