23 Paces to Baker Street

No not a Sherlock Holmes film! But a 1950's hitchcock style movie starring Van Johnson as a blind playwrite who over hears a kidnap plot whilst having a drink in a London pub. Suffice to say he decides to investigate, ably assissted by Cecil Parker and Vera Miles.

This was a saturday matinee movie I caught years ago one lazy afternoon and I've been looking for it on DVD for a while. It's finally got a DVD release in the UK and I got my copy this week. It's still as interesting as I remember it and the technicolor aspect of it gives it that warm feeling that many films of the era seem to have.
