Are any Indiana Jones video games ever any good? I've never even played one before.

The ones made in last decade, Emperor's Tomb and Infernal Machine are pretty standard action-platformers in vein of Tomb Raider, though ET has a pretty neat close combat engine thrown in, but they're quite mediocre if you think them just as games. Not that you wouldn't get a few hours' worth entertainment out of them.DoomsdayFAN said:Are any Indiana Jones video games ever any good? I've never even played one before.

Unless you utterly hate yourself and don't want to do yourself a favor, I suggest dropping everything you're doing and picking up the Talkie version immediately.

I think this game is further along than they are letting on. Maybe it's me, but I think the marketing dept. over at LucasArts does not want to release 2 Indy games that would be in competition with each other-so they are debuting Lego Indy first to cash in on KOTCS fervor- then when the movie hits the dvd shelf, there will be the tie in with the next gen Indy game. Maximum profits.
http://arstechnica.com/journals/thu...indy-action-game-only-now-starting-productionUpon hearing the news from a LucasArts source that the latest Indiana Jones game has only just entered production, that the last five years were a pre-production period that yielded trailers but no title, that it won't be out until at least next year and that the show LucasArts put on back in 2006 was just smoke and mirrors, this was my response: "[censored]!!!"
What matters is that Jones won't be appearing in a new console adventure anywhere near the same time he'll be showing up in movie theaters. It's also entirely possible that the game might have been quietly canceled and there aren't any plans for development in the near future; none of this has been officially confirmed, but Mojo has a pretty reliable track record on breaking stories like this. One thing is certain, though: if the game is at this stage of development, it probably won't be appearing on shelves until late next year, at the soonest.

Those hacks over at LucasArts need to their still-beating hearts ripped, out and set on fire by Mola Ram

This game was my main excuse for buying a PS3. I'm going to be so miffed if they just up and cancelled it. Maybe they're waiting to see how well KotCS does...
But, darn it, I want a new Indy game with an orignal storyline.
