Me, too.

The articles that interest me are the ones giving background to the films or series, as well as role-playing game material and comics.

I'm not too interested in having copies of just anything that happens to be Indy-associated, like the storybooks or Indy explores, but this thread is a great resource for those that want to see them.

I'm sure that I speak for everyone reading here, that if we discover a link to something, we'll post it here. So keep up the good work, JJ!

I think as a resource the thread excellent source of information but an issue I never anticipated, regarding the complete items, was resistance from fans who feel it devalues the items not necessarily in fianancial terms but in it's exclusivity. I don't feel this is done in an elilist manner maybe moral.

Prehaps we need to devise some guidlines as to what is or isn't acceptable as I would not like this thread to turn sour and stuff goes underground.

You've had that resistance?

To my mind a digital copy is never a substitute for the real thing. A digital copy is useful for reference, but it doesn't have the same feel good factor of possessing the actual book.

I also prefer to read the real thing when I can, rather than read on a screen.

Legally, there may be issues, but there are things like the magazines, and the role-playing material, that are out of print, and hard to obtain used. Presenting them digitally would have no effect on sales of these items, as they aren't available new. The only way to obtain them would be to pick them up second hand - so the market they affect is the second-hand one. Even then, if you only want to read an article, rather than possess the actual 'artifact', you aren't likely to pay much for it.

I recently downloaded The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings just so I could search the text, which would have taken hours to do by going through the copies on my shelves. So, digital copies of things also have that advantage.

As for the exclusivity of the items, as a fan I would want to share the images and text with other fans. It wouldn't occur to me to hoard these things as something secret and select.

Three of the Indiana Jones Hoosier Lottery (Indiana, USA) scratch-off cards I bought during the release of KotCS in 2008:

Raiders

Raiders - $4 winner

Crusade

Crystal Skull

I think there was one for TOD and maybe more for KotCS but I'm not much of a gambler and only bought a handful of these scratch-offs.

For me, it's about being sensitive to people's concerns and to make sure that it's kept to a level where postings do not infinge copyright to a point of financial loss to the copyright owner.

And on that note...

Full issue available...if you know where it's from!!!

Oh well, here's "Oklahoma Smith and the Lost Temple of the Doomed Raiders." About a page of the black and white comic parody is pornographic.

I've flipped through Mad, Cracked and Crazy magazines and still don't know where I read the "Trailers of the Lost Park" parody. It may have been just a few pages of something.

...and about one the page of the rest isn't pornographic!

Interesting link, Moedred! That was what I had in mind for the Indy/Spalko character development in KOTCS.

Look-in Magazine 1981 Issue 33

For those of us who look back in time with rose tinted glasses Look-in brilliant children's magazine centred around ITV's television programmes in the United Kingdom, and subtitled "The Junior TVTimes". It ran from 9 January 1971 to 12 March 1994.

Look-in had interviews, crosswords and competitions, and it had pictures and pin-ups of TV stars and pop idols of the time. Its main feature however was the many comic strips of the favourite children's television programmes. These included Battlestar Galactica, Follyfoot, The Tomorrow People, The Six Million Dollar Man, Charlie's Angels, Worzel Gummidge, Knight Rider, The A-Team and Robin of Sherwood.
