I just watched 'A Bridge Too Far' with my son two weeks ago. Thanks for posting the obit, I would not have read that and did not know the 'Silence of the Lambs' story.

Good man. One of the absolute best WW2 movies, in my opinion.

The night Goldman passed away, my girlfriend & I were watching Spielberg's "The Post" for the first time. While it's an excellent film, I couldn't help thinking how superior "All the President's Men" is and planned on watching it the next day (especially since "The Post" leads right into Watergate). Then I heard the news that very next day. Eerie.

"The Great Waldo Pepper" and "Marathon Man" are also some of my personal favourites by Goldman. A great screenwriter.
