You may call Michael Bay a hack, but from the scene w/ Sam and Bumblebee, you can really tell he cares about making these things real. I mean, that moment when Sam grabs hold of 'Bee'... priceless (y)

Michael Bay is a hack.

^So according to what Michael said in that video, they are doing an IMAX version like Dark Knight? Dark Knight was fantastic on the big screen. I hope he warms up to 3D. I'd love to see Transformers in 3D. I just read an article saying that they're thinking of doing Spider Man 4 in 3D.

No he is not. He just has a unique style that some (including myself, sometimes:eek: ) don't like. Our fault, not his.

I'm in the same boat. His style did work well for Transformers, but it didn't fit Pearl Harbor.

Looks better than the first one.

But that's not saying much.

It's a guarantee that it will at least be big, dumb, and entertaining.

Story of Bay's life.

How can that look SO clear and detailed and Crystal Skull look like it was shot in smog or there was a smudge on the camera?

I just watched the trailer on Michael Bay's site. That does look like the Marcus Brody statue from KOTCS!

I'm looking forward to this one! (y)

Looks awesome to me.! This new one looks as sick as the swine flu! Devastator looks awesome. I can't wait to see Optimus Prime combine with Jetfire (SR-71) to fight him!

Like Spielberg, I think these films suit Bay's talents. People complain about story, but it's based on a cartoon that is based on a damn toy! Story was never why we liked TF growing up in the 80's. It was about the cool robots.

I thought the first film was done about as good as could be done with these characters (although the blonde chick as a super smart computer nerd was a stretch). If it had been the only TF film, then I could complain about the lack of "character" depth with the Decepticons, but ROTF looks like Empire Strikes Back as far as it relates to the original.
