Indy V wish list

Excalibur is the idea been thinking of recently too. There are enough variations in the legends to give their own twist on it. For one thing originally the Sword in the Stone and Excalibur were two different swords. But in retelling both were combined into a single sword.

The only risk is that another Arthurian quest would evoke Last Crusade. But that can be avoided. By delving into the Black magic of characters like Morgan Le Fay. Giving the story darker tone.

1947...and Indy dies. But then KotCS would never have happened!!

Or maybe that was your point...:D

Oh, that was the point :D

"killing Indy and then mysteriously not killing Indy would be so freaking stupid cause it would make no sense"

English, please. Though I think they're saying "Why have Indy appear to die and then not?" Which is a good point, but I'd feel that Indy was attempted to fake his death so Father Hope's followers wouldn't try to attack Indy's friends and family as revenge, because he's already "dead".

Before starting many separate threads, why not fill in as many as you can of these first? (A setpiece is an action sequence.)

I would complain about necroposting by well over ten years, but hardly anything happens on this forum, so I'll take what I can get.

What's with the asterisk on Marion?

The asterisk = cameo.

Totally agree with the necroposting remark, once the marketing wheel starts to spin I promise to stop!

Months ago I posted what I'd love to to see in Indy V:

1) An opening scene, followed by a classroom scene & then a scene that reveals that that it is Indy's 70th birthday and he has planned on retiring
2) Indy in the snow
3) Three scenes where Indy uses his whip
4) Indy mentioning that Mutt is serving in Vietnam
5) A grown Short Round, revealing that he was a pilot in the early 1940's
6) A scene in Indy's house
7) A gunfight similar to the Raven Bar
8.) Blood and grit
9) A Lawrence Kasdan script
10) A scene at the end: 12 YEARS LATER.
We see the outside of a movie theatre. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK - Now Playing!!! We see a shadow of a man wearing a fedora. He walks past the theatre, turns slightly, smiles to himself and carries on walking.
Cue, the Raiders March...

This sounds incredible! Love that you included mutt, do you imagine that as Shia or a recast? Personal life aside I think it could be a cool reveal him with no announcement.

No chance the word 'Lost' is in the title.
Idk, The Last Jedi reused the word Jedi, which really pissed me off for some reason. Idk what it is but I just really feel like can't reuse words in entry titles like that. Lost I think I might be able to let slide as it's only a short adjective but it's definitely borderline.
Returning Characters: Marion, Abner Ravenwood, Mutt
Isn't Abner dead? Oh wait, a lost city in the Himalayas, I see where this is going. ;)

Presumably it will be "Indy Vs Oliver Richter's character." He definitely appears to be the "big guy" of this film. It will be interesting to see how that fight is handled, since Oliver looks like he could destroy Harrison with one punch. Clearly it will have to be like the other fights in the series, where Indy has to rely on some help from the environment. I know we already saw footage of them getting into it a bit at the parade, but I'm guessing there will be another confrontation later on, since it looks like the parade scene just has Indy running away.
