To everybody who didn't know already: Supershadow is, will be, and always has been, a complete fake!

Yup. I saw it quite a while ago while I was searching for Indy 5 news.
Do you really think George Lucas would give away the whole plot of Indy 5 without blinking?

True or Fake?

Just found this while surfing the net:

"Company from Seville will produce the hat from Indiana Jones 5

The hat company from Seville Industrias Sombrereras Españolas SA (Isesa) will design and manufacture the hat of the hero in the fifth film in the saga of Indiana Jones and initiate a plan for international expansion into Western Europe, USA and Japan.

Isesa sources added that the previous film dealt with the mass production but not its design but for the next installment will take care of designing and manufacturing at its facilities in Salteras (Sevilla) in collaboration with the craftsmen who design the model of the earlier film."

Translated from: http://www.diariodesevilla.es/artic...ombrero/la/quinta/pelicula/indiana/jones.html

So I continued my search and found this:

"They said that after signing a preliminary agreement with the company Bilt Adventure Hats, which was what made the hat for the last Indiana Jones movie, are awaiting a final validation of the prototype to start producing before the summer, a process that, as indicated by the sources, "was delayed due to the effects of transport strike" last week."

More sites saying the same:

http://www.laverdad.es/albacete/20091208/gente/indiana-jones-lucira-sombrero-20091208.html

But I found anothers sites saying something different, and they didn't say anything about Indiana Jones 5, just that a company from Spain will produce the Indy hat:

In English: http://clickmagazine.eu/en/2008/10/01/seville-2/

"In full boom after the last installment of the series, the company Isesa and Germanic-American Adventure Hats Bilt recently signed a contract to teach Spanish that will manufacture large-scale exact replica of the hat that looks Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

'Indiana Jones' fans know that the hat is identical to the film and there is much anticipation to get it. Those responsible for Adventure Hats Bilt speak of several thousand units to start, "notes the director general of ISESA.

This is not the first time the company makes high quality replicas of famous adventurer hat. For years, Isesa makes this model in rabbitskin premium for Herbert Johnson, a British firm that designed and supplied the fedoras used by Harrison Ford in the first three installments."

In this topic in a spanish forum, the fans are in doubt and many don't believe in the news: http://www.indianajones.es/foroindy/viewtopic.php?t=10745&sid=d5fc5edb0197d9bd9ca74bd540676c3a

Ya, Biff...that is totally new! It says it was posted today...I'm really excited from watching this clip...this clip may be the best info we have gotten in a long time...and I love how the interviewer is persistent with asking about Indy V! Great find!

Eric Ditzian: "George Lucas once floated the idea that Shia LaBeouf character’s Mutt could take over the lead role, while Spielberg and Ford remain open to the possibility of revisiting the series."

Harrison Ford (January 8): "I don't think I'll do it in a wheelchair...George [Lucas] is working on an idea, and if it comes to a fruitful stage, all of us are very interested in making another."

I would rather Indy V had a wheelchair bound Indiana Jones, than Mutt taking the lead.

Ooh good find; that does sound really positive!

I like the way that Harrison presumably realises that talking Indy is a good way to get headlines and therefore promote his new film! :)

"crazy" worries me a bit. I'd say aliens were a bit crazy ( I didn't mind the concept of aliens though) But you never know what george could come up with.

It's possible that what's crazy isn't the idea that Lucas has for a plot for a 5th film, but rather the idea of having an idea for a plot for a 5th film. The craziness is in the idea of Indy 5 after Indy 4 taking so long. That's one possible read, anyhow.

I would love Indy 5 to be in the same vein as an episode of the Twilight Zone. How cool would it be to have Indy lost in the Bermuda Triangle? With the establishment of other dimensions in Indy 4, this could be a cool story.

And then they can send Indy to a dimension in which his dad is still alive and living in the Bahamas with a painter. Sean Connery wouldn't even need to leave his home.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like confirmation that Harrison is pretty excited about the story (and/or Macguffin) that Lucas has in mind. Hoping so, would be nice if they could pull one more bit of magic out of the old fedora.

What if Mola Ram was resurrected, and seeks revenge against Indy?

Yes, Ram was my favorite villain of the original movies, and I think he, not Belloq, deserves to be Indy's recurring arch-enemy (he came the closest to defeating him, for lord's sake!)

Who's to say he died? Temple was the movie where the villains all lived!
(mostly, damn Chen always RUINS everything! Friggin Fredo of the family)

Lao, and his nine fingered son, Chatter...

The Wilhelm doesn't mean he died, and he was able to scream AFTER he fell, right?

Belloq actually did defeat him, remember? I don't recall Indy strutting out of the Peruvian jungle with a golden idol in hand...

Happy days are here again! :D

INDY (in wheelchair): "Mutt, can't you push this thing any faster? The Russians are getting away!"

MUTT: "Dad, I thought you were living in the rest home now?"

INDY: "Part-time, kid."

Seriously, it's great news that the likelihood of Harrison returning is growing.
