Man, AOTC and TPM are very hard for me to even count on this list! They both have a few moments, but overall are pretty crappy to me. Yes, Darth Maul was an awesome character and should have been utlized more(remove Grievous and keep Maul), what a friggin waste. I got to disagree with you Katarn, Jar Jar makes me gringe just writing his name. Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors, and I agree he was great in TPM, one of the best parts of the movie. Aside for some great fx scenes like the chase in Coruscant and Kamino with Fett and Obi, AOTC was sucky too! I grew up with the OTC so I'm of course partial to them, but with the exception of Sith the prequels have left me cold! That's just my opinion, and I'm sure some of you who grew up more with the prequels will have it the other way around.
It's like so much of the big blockbuster movie sequels I've seen of late, that I've desperately wanted to genuinely like but just can't. I honestly think the last movie I walked away from really enjoying was Casino Royale, and of all the movies this summer coming out I'm most excited for is The Bourne Ultimatum. Not Pirates(even though it looks cool), I've not really been impressed with the trailers for Spiderman 3, you can keep Shrek, and so on. Not just because this is an Indy forum, but Ford made the Star Wars movies. His charisma added so much, which was what was sorely lacking from the prequels, the fun of it all. The OTC was just fun and exciting. I know the prequels deal with a heavily dramatic storyline, but between imo the overuse of cgi and the wooden acting the fun was sucked out of them. I love movies with miniatures and slightly flawed fx, too much cgi looks like a video game to me. It's like with Indy, the mine chase might look fake as hell at times, but I love it! I'll take that anyday over near perfection in cgi accomplishment!
