How is there not a SW thread!!?? It's safe to say most IJ fans also like SW.
SW is what got me into Indy. I love SW, just a teensy bit, more than Indy Jones.
Here's my list of favorite movies:
1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Revenge of the Sith
3. Return of the Jedi
4. A New Hope
5. The Phantom Menace
6. Attack of the Clones
:D

It's not, it's near the bottom of his list. It's right above AotC where it belongs. And get over the Jar Jar thing. He really doesn't hurt the movie. A number of other things do, but he's not the main thing. Also, look at the good of that film. Liam Neeson is the best actor/character out of all three prequels. The Podrace was amazing. Darth Maul is the coolest "no characterization, I just look cool" villain of the prequels and had the best lightsaber duel in terms of choreography out of all 6 films. Plus, there were a number of secondary characters that were cool. Palpatine rocks in all three, Watto is one of my favorite characters out of all 6 films, and we got to spend a crap load of time on Tatooine, the coolest planet there is in the films. With that said, remember I rank this second to last because AotC has far less things going for it than this one did.

ESB is the best.
ANH is my next favorite.
RotS and RotJ are tied for all of their awesomness and all of their flaws.
TPM is a fun action flick.
AotC is a boring romance with a few good action sequences sprinkled throughout.

I do like SW more than Indy (my username is a character from a SW videogame), though I think I like all three Indys more than I do all of the prequels and RotJ.

Oh, and what last thing:
Hey ClintonHammond, don't bother responding to this. We all know you liked the original Star Wars and can't stand any of its sequels or prequels.

The only reason it's not #6 is AOTC was a gay romance movie with the only good parts being the Obi/ Jango mystery & the Geonosis battle(s).

TPM was fairly good, I like Jar Jar he didn't ruin it at all, more so a boring middle part. Jake Loyd was annoying though.

My ranking of the movies

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Return of the Jedi
4. Revenge of the Sith
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace

Man, AOTC and TPM are very hard for me to even count on this list! They both have a few moments, but overall are pretty crappy to me. Yes, Darth Maul was an awesome character and should have been utlized more(remove Grievous and keep Maul), what a friggin waste. I got to disagree with you Katarn, Jar Jar makes me gringe just writing his name. Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors, and I agree he was great in TPM, one of the best parts of the movie. Aside for some great fx scenes like the chase in Coruscant and Kamino with Fett and Obi, AOTC was sucky too! I grew up with the OTC so I'm of course partial to them, but with the exception of Sith the prequels have left me cold! That's just my opinion, and I'm sure some of you who grew up more with the prequels will have it the other way around.

It's like so much of the big blockbuster movie sequels I've seen of late, that I've desperately wanted to genuinely like but just can't. I honestly think the last movie I walked away from really enjoying was Casino Royale, and of all the movies this summer coming out I'm most excited for is The Bourne Ultimatum. Not Pirates(even though it looks cool), I've not really been impressed with the trailers for Spiderman 3, you can keep Shrek, and so on. Not just because this is an Indy forum, but Ford made the Star Wars movies. His charisma added so much, which was what was sorely lacking from the prequels, the fun of it all. The OTC was just fun and exciting. I know the prequels deal with a heavily dramatic storyline, but between imo the overuse of cgi and the wooden acting the fun was sucked out of them. I love movies with miniatures and slightly flawed fx, too much cgi looks like a video game to me. It's like with Indy, the mine chase might look fake as hell at times, but I love it! I'll take that anyday over near perfection in cgi accomplishment!

I'm a Star Wars fan,too!!

1 A New Hope
2 Return of the Jedi
3 Empire Strikes Back
4 Revenge of the Sith
5 Phantom Menace
6 Attack of the Clones

I grew up with the classic trilogy,so the new trilogy was very getting used to.
My favourite character(s): R2-D2 and C-3PO! And Han Solo and chewbacca.

I like the new trilogy most for Padmé's/Amidala's wardrobe.Wow!That girls has got some fine garments,mm-mm!
Costume design was better in the new films, except for Leia's slave-bikini!
A friend of mine is still waiting to see me in that thing..
His favourite btw is Attack of the Clones...(aaarrrghhh)

TPM
AotC

Anyone big fans of the Expanded Universe? Until TPM came out, I loved reading all the novels I could get my hands on. Michael A. Stackpole's X-Wing series (books 1, 2, and 4 in particular) were among my favs. The Thrawn Trilogy is classic, and I did enjoy the Young Jedi Knights and Jedi Apprentice books even though they were aimed at kids. Of course, I was 11 or younger when I read them so I guess I fit that target audience. As for video games, Knights of the Old Republic (both of them) and the Dark Forces/ Jedi Knight series are a must. Kyle Katarn from Dark Force/ Jedi Knight is my favorite character from the EU.

The Clone Wars novels are the best. Except Shatterpoint. I only know 1 person who could get passed the first chapter.

I finished Shatterpoint but I agree with you it's not very good. I like novels that are around 300 pages. 1st 100 pages introduces the characters and sets up the plot. The next 100 pages the plot thickens. The final 100 pages is the climax and the resolution. Shatterpoint is 400 pages but feels like more. The middle 200 pages are the worst. Good begining and an end though.

As for the films I too like Star Wars better then Indiana Jones. I'll even go so far as to say I like the prequel films better then Indiana Jones. My rankings.

1. Revenge of the Sith.
2. The Phantom Menace
3. A New Hope
4. The Empire Strikes Back
5. Return of the Jedi
6. Attack of the Clones

It's funny before Revenge of the Sith Attack of the Clones was my favorite. After RotS it's my least.

Jar Jar Binks was less stupid than that piece of crap character. He ruined RotS for me. It could have been a lot better if that four-armed, coughing robot weren't in it.

I can't single out any of the main characters. Han Solo and Qui-Gon Jinn are my favorite for the heroes, Palpatine is a better villain than Vader. That's about all I have to say on the matter. Boba is the coolest of the "cool" bad guys, followed by Maul. I've already stated my feelings on Greivous, and Jango is a lame cash-in on Boba's coolness. Kyle Katarn, Corran Horn, and Mara Jade are the coolest EU heroes. Shadows of the Empire and all of its characters are overrated. And I thought Shatterpoint was dumb too, but I felt that way about most prequel era novels I picked up except for Shadow Hunter.

I hated Grievous. He was supposed to be epitome of evil scariness and he.....didn't pull it off.
Liam Neeson, Ewan McG and Darth Maul saved Ep I from being a total mess.

Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter is good as if Cloak of Deception. Rogue Plant is hit and miss. Most are forgetable. I've given up on EU novels.

I couldn't get into Cloak of Deception and actually forgot it existed. Rogue Planet was enjoyable for the opening chapter and the appearances of both Tarkin and Raith Sinear. For those who don't recognize the name, he invented such things as the IG assassin droids, TIE Fighters, and the Death Star. Yes, another continuity error AotC has. Why would a bunch of bug men have made that anyways?
