For those of you keeping up with the minutia details of the '08 US presidential election (early as it is), what do you think of Clinton's purported strategy of bringing Obama on board as her VP candidate?
My impression is that Clinton's trying to take advantage of Obama's huge popularity by convincing him that he couldn't beat her in a direct head-to-head race and so should join forces with her and get some of that all-too-important (please recognize sarcasm here) political experience. I don't know much about Obama, but I do know that if he consents to taking second chair behind Clinton then he's not the leader I think he could be...no way he loses to Clinton if he steps up and takes her on. My advice to Barack Obama...if you want to run for the presidency, do it here and now. Hooking up with Clinton on this will almost certainly ruin your political career.
