"Aztec" - Vintage 1982 Computer Game

Does anyone remember "Aztec", that cool game for Apple computers c.1982?
It was an Indy-inspired quest for treasure in an underground South American
temple complete with warriors, beasts & booby-traps. The guy you controlled
looked just like Indiana. He even had a revolver and a whip! :whip:

Visually, the graphics were *vector-based*. Your corridor and the one
above/below you were always shown as a side-view and there were
those cheap sound effects when any action took place. All movement
and fighting was done by keyboard.

It had treasure, trap-doors, flooding chambers, angry Aztecs & more!
What a GREAT game...

YES!!! That's it! :D Thank you so much for the link, VP.
I downloaded it but, unfortunately, have no idea
how to run an .atr file on a PC with Windows XP. :(
Any clue?

Nice to see the screen capture, nonetheless!
Does "Nevahööd" mean "Aztec"?

You are going to have to download an Atari emulator in which to run the file from.

Gotcha - Thanks! Your Pharaoh's Tomb game looks like a more complex
version of earlier titles like "Montezuma's Revenge" w/Panama Joe and
"Tutankhamun". I dig the PT character name, Nevada Smith.

Check out this packaging for "Montezuma's Revenge"

...and, again using VP's link above, the packaging for "Aztec".
Complete with Golden Idol...

I played this game before watching my first Indy movie (Temple of Doom). Was also my first computer game and with it's huge sprites ahead of its time. The amount of bugs in the game was also totally Indy worthy (walking backwards to the next screen machete equipped let you drop directly to the next level).

I can say I played Indiana Jones before I watched it.
