Bond 21 - Casino Royale

I think this movie will either be a huge success or a big disappointment for a variety of reasons. They're starting again with a new Bond and they're also tweaking the character and trying to make him more human. There's certainly nothing wrong with this but in the past it wasn't received too well. Just look at Dalton's films (which I thought were fantastic) and the difference between them and the last couple Moore films and you'll see the big change. I haven't watched any of the trailers and I've seen very little of the photos going around; I want this to be a complete surprise when I see it.

Craig looks like he can mix it up a bit.

I watched Munich with Craig's Bond plausibility in the back of my mind. He has an innate violence about him that is very real. If you watch some actors closely -- like a Hugh Jackman or Christian Bale -- you see the cracks and the acting. Craig's menancing presence in Munich bodes well for Casino Royale.

I have not seem Munich, although some people I know and respect, really liked it, and Craigs preformance. I really liked him Layer Cake, and yes his eyes do that little 'psycho' dance. The trailer has him looking liek he can F some baddied up!

I agree that it's a positive sign. In the original novels, Fleming never let readers forget Bond's deadly capacities. I think it would be interesting to see the films return to that character dynamic. This installment intrigues me far more than other recent chapters in Bond movie saga have. I'm actually eager to see it.

First time I've been interested in the Bond franchise in a long time. I love this guys look. He seems like a complete bastard.

I haven't seen Munich, but he did a good job in Young Indiana Jones and the Daredevils of the Desert. The extended fight scene with Young Indy was very good. They just kept going at each other with swords, chairs, and finally just fists. I think he'll do fine as Bond.

The more I read and hear about htis it should be pretty good. After that wave riding scene in Die Another Day, and Madonna, we can really only go one way, up that is.

Well it is finally here! I can not wait to see this movie, but due to engagements and dinners I will robably have to wait until sometime next week. It seems it is getting better than tought buzz and press, but lets face it it didn't take much for this to be a better Bond than the last one . . .stupid invisible car!

Is this case with the rest of you guys. But to me it is so eye catching. Daniel Craig totaly reminds me of Steve McQueen. This is so strange. Every time I see a trailer I think, what is this, Steve McQueen is the next Bond.

I haven't seen it, but I'm pretty sure it really is supposed to be Bond's first mission. Although in of itself the movie looks very good, my complaint is that is disrupts a well kept timeline of events.

Biggest complaint - if it's his first mission why is Barbara Mawdsley M? At least make it Sir Miles Messervy. Can't anyone keep a canon straight these days? Geez!

I'm done now. I'll probably see the movie next week.

It's not Bond's first mission...it's his first mission as a "Double-0" agent. I think the prologue touches on his first two kills that make him eligible for this title. The book is great, but dated. The film looks good. Personally, I'm a little miffed that Judy Dench is back as M, but so goes it. I'm seeing it tomorrow...

Just saw it...hands down the best 007 film ever made. I'm a fan of the Bond franchise and have seen them all many times each. This one is absolutely phenomenal. Very true to the book, and Daniel Craig was brilliant in the role (as I knew he probably would be). GO SEE IT!

Sweet I was hoping to see this! Hopefully this week but doubt it! Ugh holidays are such work all the eating and partying!

the next one continues the character arc from the previous movie, digging deeper into the terrorist organization; one of the villians is vesper's algerian boyfriend
