I'm something of a sucker for survival shows, and Primal Survivor on NatGeo has been pretty interesting. According to the show's log line, the host -- I forget his name -- travels to remote corners of the globe and tries to see how local tribes have survived in harsh conditions for thousands of years.
I'm in the middle of watching Samurai Champloo finally after disregarding it for years because it wasn't Cowboy Bebop. Frankly, I would still rather have more Cowboy Bebop. Given how good Space Dandy is though, I figured it was time to give Shinichiro Watanabe's other big series a fair shake.
While it doesn't reach the heights of those two series, Samurai Champloo is definitely interesting. I'll see it through to the end.
Chanbara and the hip-hop aesthetic still doesn't quite go together.
