ArK of the Covenant paper weight

Went through all the threads and saw no mention of it. My mom got me this several years ago, I believe from eBay. I think it is supposed to be a paperweight. While not exactly accurate to ROTLA (I'm not sure it is even meant to be), it is kind of cool. It is made of metal, quite heavy, and the lid comes off and the inside is lined with felt. Anway, thought I would share:

It could be an ashtray. For burnt offerings?
Newer cars come with a felt "coin holder" within the ashtray...

It's cool, but the cherubim are all wrong! i don't mean by Indiana Jones standards, neccessarily, but Biblically cherubs look similar to this:

I searched eBay and you can find a few of those, from what I can tell they are sold as souvenirs of Jerusalem, so that's why they're not accurated to ROTLA. It could be a nice prop for a diorama with a 12' Indy, I think

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but if you collect all the 12" Hasbro Indy figures, you can mail in for a 1/6 Ark of the Covenant. I know I'm going to try.

Actually, you only need to get 4 of the Hasbro 12" to get the Ark...which looks AMAZING BTW:

Me too! That's amazing! Are there any details about the promo yet? Is it going to be available to non-US collectors?

Here is the redemption certificate. It's kind of hard to make out, especially the fine print, but I think that the fifth bullet at the bottom says "Offer valid in U.S. and Canada only"

That is awesome! Of course, Gentle Giant is offering an Ark paper weight this summer at conventions too, so that will be a great thing to snag.
