Well, I didn't post that at CHUD (I never go there) but I used to live and work in Pasadena and Drew was a customer of mine. If you go to his website and send an email he WILL respond too. He always does. When the ROTS poster came out he confirmed that Lucasfilm took art from 2 posters he made and combined them to make one poster. That's why Anakin looks funny on that poster. It's the same issue I have with this. The large image of Indy's face doesn't seem to fit the composition of the rest of the poster because it was likely for another piece of art.
I knew something felt off about the poster! I've been a huge fan of Struzan's work since I was a little kid, and I've always been inspired by it as an artist. For this very reason I was a bit disappointed by what looked to be photoshop work, creeping into his traditional hand painted style! Well, now there's some evidence to support my suspicion. The poster is nice, but after looking at it throughout the day, I'm still not crazy about it! His TOD poster set the standard way too high imo, and it would be pretty tough to match it.

On another note, does anyone know who the artist was for the TOD teaser poster(Indy in the archway)? Was it Roger Kastel?

What RA means is in every KotCS photo and video we've seen Indy has the bag over his jacket but the new poster has the bag under his jacket...Strange indeed!
It's not something i'm concerned about
It looks good

The Bow Tie Cinemas...in M ilford, CT had them stacked up yesterday... it has an ad and art for Kung Fu Panda on the otherside... they will be coming out with cups and more at your local concession stands soon...

And yes I took that shot on my kitchen counter with some of my props and a lens flare I added in Photoshop.. being a marketing director/graphic designer for years comes in handy

Here s the other version I did that shows the side of the bag...

I post some shots of my old stuff (1984 when I was in high school) online as well - check it out sometimes!

Thanks -- I always liked that and the Toht one --- it was hard to do -- just a bottle of ink and a rapidograph pen... making dots.. no Macs back then.. I did send one of Indy off to Lucasfilm and got a nice thank you card from Harrison Ford's office and an autograph -- so that was cool back in 1984!

Here's a composite I did of all of them on a computer after 24 years!

The thing on the left.

I know that says "drew" ... really... I do. But the first time I noticed it I thought it was a smiling face that was staring into cate's crotch. With the "w" making up the forehead and nose... and the little black speck making up the eye.

Now that's all I see when I look at the poster. Haha.

I love the look of this. Should be the box art for the DVD when it comes out. They did make Indy look about 10 years younger though IMO.

Oh I don't know. Depending on which shots you see Ford in, he can look better or worse. I think they got it pretty accurate. Mostly, I think Indy's skin just looks more tan.

HAH I just noticed something and this is way off topic. That dude that is standing behind Indy in the photo above was airbrushed out of the one I got from Official Pix. Just thought I would throw that out there.
