Just an abandoned house but I felt like Hiram Bingham

I took a walk on some of the rural streets of upscale Orinda, California.
I saw this abandoned building site and it reminded me a little of Peru's Machu Picchu.
This large house was under construction when the owner apparently lost his money in the crash and left.
There is a posted notice from the city asking him to remove it.

Ooh, ghost towns and abandoned buildings. Creepy!

I always think of Centralia, Pennsylvania, the inspiration for the town of Silent Hill, with the mine fire burning underground since 1962.

In the style of H.P Lovecraft, and the voice of Vincent Price:

"William Boyd has not revisited this thread, and I fear he may have ignored the warnings and ventured back into that abandoned house..."

I have been busy negotiating the sale of what I found in the house.

Was it a slightly used copy of The Necronomicon?

Well if it was The Necronomicon then it belongs in a crate with the Ark in Hangar 51. Otherwise someone's going to steal it, and Indy's going to have to track it down before it gets used for nefarious purposes. (And you thought you were just visiting an abandoned house...)

Apparently some Top Men went to work on the place.
