... and I also really liked Goldeneye 007 on Nintendo 64. lol. :p

Incidentally, I was bored Saturday night and dug it out, and now I'm re-addicted to it all over again. :whip:

I wish I still had my copy. A long time ago, my mom sold my Nintendo 64 and all games at a garage sale. She said, "I thought you told me to sell it?!" I said, "I told you DON'T SELL IT!!"

Remind you of any particular scene in any particular movie? lol.

I hope that it eventually comes out on the virtual console on the Wii, but I'm not so sure about that... since Rareware is owned by Microsoft now ya know, lol.

I don't like the fact that he's a very unlikeable Bond. All the other actors played Bond so that he's likeable and would probably be cool to be around, but the script for Casino Royale film and Craig's performance portrayed him as an emotionally closed-off, cold-blooded sociopath.

I agree with everything that was said here, but oddly enough, that's why I think Craig was so good for the part. He did something different and it worked out great.

@ Michael: Don't bother with DIE ANOTHER DAY. It's quite possibly the worst Bond film I've ever seen and two hours of my life I desperately want back. The only saving graces are Brosnan as Bond and John Cleese as Q. I'd say the Aston Martin would be a plus, but quite frankly, the action scene with it is one of the worst parts of the whole thing! Has anyone played EVERYTHING OR NOTHING? That would have made a much better movie than DIE ANOTHER DAY! It'd probably be on par with TOMORROW NEVER DIES and THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (I like those films, but no where near as much as GOLDENEYE).

But did you like him? I don't mean did you like him as in did you think he's a good character, as in you like Hannibal Lecter. I mean did you like him as in he seems like a good guy?

I found it difficult to to enjoy this movie because I found him so unlikeable. Again, just the character, not Craig's performance or Craig himself.

Any fans of the 007 franchise around these parts?

do you see my username?

Which actor's portrayal of Bond did you like best?

very difficult question, all were great, but connery will always be the origonal and can't be beat IMO, brosnan and craig were pretty awesome as well.

Which are your particularly favourite Bond film/s?

i loved goldeneye, casino royale, goldfinger, octovagin, ohmss, let's say all the brosnan films. I think I'm going to go on until I name every single bond film because I love them all, so i'll just stop.

What did you think of Casino Royale?

it was great! a makeover for the bond franchaise was a wise decision

Are you interested in Bond 22? (The next film)

oh yeah!

I loved Everything or Nothing. Really one of my favorite games, although I don't play a lot of video games. The multi-player could have been a LOT better (I could NEVER figure out how to get the characters like Mya or Willem Dafoe). But the story-line was pretty good and the game play was interesting. I would have loved to see it as a movie, but that will never happen.

Post any comments, facts, or opinions on this series.

My favorite is Goldfinger, followed by Goldeneye. I didn't care much for Pierce's later Bond films, and I thought DaD was a little cheesy. Same goes for a few of the Roger Moore outings--Some are very dated and cheesy, especially View to a Kill and Moonraker.
On the subject of The World is Not Enough, I haven't seen that film for around 4 years but I loved the introduction. Same the rest of the movie wasn't nearly as good. And I hated the theme song. Something very depressing about the music, and the movie in general.

Any opinions on the Never Say Never Again flick?

Bond series is especially interesting to me because, though you're probably unaware, I actually grew up inside of a barrel, and thusly had no opportunities to see any of the Bond films.

This is something I've set out to rectify, and have recently watched License to Kill, and Living Daylights, which I understand are among the less popular Bonds.

LtK was okay, LD was AWESOME, and I honestly like Timothy Dalton as Bond. So even though no one really likes them, I enjoyed 'em.

Planning on tackling the Moore's films next.

Living Daylights is the only Bond film I love. And Dalton is my favorite 007.

Meh, don't do Moore's Bond next. I think any Bond fan (and I'm not one) would agree that his is not very good. Too campy. Despite my overall dislike for Connery.... do his Bonds next. I hear Lazenby is a good Bond but I haven't seen his single outing as the super spy yet.

And Never Say Never Again is TERRIBLE and apparently not canon since it's a remake of Thunderball outside of the studio (long legal issue--my buddy's talked my ear off about it--he's to Bond as I am to Indy). So yeah, see Connery, but not Never Say Never Again. And avoid Diamonds Are Forever. :p

...oh, but do see Goldeneye with Brosnan. But DON'T see Die Another Day.

...have I ranted enough? Cool....

Living Daylights? Is that the one with the cello?

I like For Your Eyes Only. The bond girl is sooooo hot. And the Lotus is awesome!

i'm trying to remember that film , but it didn't seem as corny as the few previous and latter films. Was that his first? Care to refresh my memory of TLD?

It was the first. It's the one where he helps a Russian concert cellist who, if I recall, helped with some defection. Anyway, they end up in Afghanistan and avert a drug deal, etc.

...plot's always been secondary in Bond films anyway.

I believe it was an Aston Martin DB7. Sweet ride. (y)

I enjoy the Bond films up to Goldeneye. After that, everything was either lackluster or out-right awful. Sure, the Moore films got a little too on the comical side, but I think For Your Eyes Only is a solid down-to-earth spy-adventure, and was definitely a good move after the disastrous Moonraker.

The Living Daylights is my favorite of the series, and Timothy Dalton is still my favorite Bond. I basically like all the Bond actors we'd had except for Daniel Craig. I just didn't buy him as Bond. A Bond villain, perhaps, but not Bond. (n)

(I was also about to say it's interesting that a Bond and Indiana Jones movie have always been released in the same year, but then I saw that Octo***** came out in 1983 and not 1984.)

EDIT: Haha!! I didn't think about that getted *ed out. :D

My top 3 favorite Bond films:

1. Dr. No
2. From Russia With Love
3. Thunderball

Connery was great. Daniel Craig's getting to the point where I think he'll turn out to be an awesome Bond, as Connery was. Didn't care for the Brosnan films- too over-the-top and action heroish. Moore had a few good films, and I didn't care much for Lazenby's. Connery, Dalton, and Craig are my favorites.

Anyone looking forward to "Quantum of Solace"? Seems promising.
