Just a quick question!

the chinese lyrics or the english original? i don't know if you can read chinese so probably the lyrics to "The actual song used in Temple 'o' Doom?" won't help you...

the part played in the movie isn't the whole song. this is the extract in english by Cole Porter:

In olden days a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking
Now heaven knows, anything
Goes

Good authors too who once knew better words
Now only use four letter words writing
Prose
Anything goes

The world has gone mad today
And good?s bad today
And black?s white today
And
Day?s night today
When most guys today that women prize today
Are just silly gigolos

So though i?m
Not a great romancer
I know that you?re bound to answer
When I propose, anything goes

there is a version of the soundtrack conducted by Nic Raine and the City of Prague Orchestra & Chorus that features both the chinese movie version and the (shortened) english version to be read above.

The English translation is an interesting read. I'd never heard the words before, oddly enough. Very neat indeed.

Hmmmm...Are you sure these aren't the real lyrics? ;)

In five minutes add a dash of class
To something new tonight
Goodness knows
Anything goes!

Try serving tomato rice
With your favourite fish
Or add onions, too
If it's lamb you wish
Soup or celery rice
Feel the perfect switch
With chicken and green beans!

Use your own imagination
To whip up a new creation
Minute Rice knows
Anything goes!

in chinese letters?

I'd prefer the english phonetics.

Oh, and to everyone who welcomed me, thanks. I've been an avid Indy fan for some time, but only took the time recently to really get into it.

I should be getting the Yound Indiana Jones series soon.
